Thank you JenPooh. I know you were being kind. Maybe changing the subject was a good thing though? Let me take it a little further: Who here actually eats turkey for Thanksgiving? I prefer chicken or ham. LOL...
It seems that there are so many good people in this forum. I'm glad I found it. There is a lot of inspiration here.

We usually eat Turkey, but we have also had ham before. I do prefer chicken though over either of those.

No. We don't eat Turkey. They were always sacrificed at Halloween Rituals. I only eat Tofurkey now.

    JUST KIDDING!!!!

    LOL!!!

We travel to see my husband's stepmother for Thanksgiving. Last year was the first year we ate at a restaurant for Thanksgiving Dinner. Let me tell you how liberating that was! We had such a great time. Even the kids did and they were so well behaved! We're doing that again this year. And I'm actually looking forward to it!!!

I'm good for causing a stir, huh? LOL. Nope...don't care for turkey. I really could go without meat entirely. However, I do love a good steak. Sometimes chicken can be good...sometimes.

OKAY...your heart may rise back up in your chest..I had a fried turkey once and it was wonderful. Yep..that's the only turkey I've liked. lol

Fried anything is fabulous. I wonder if fried wieners are good. Hmmm!
I'll have to try it sometime because they aren't fattening enough.

Can a person even be a CHRISTIAN and not like turkey? I mean, not eating turkey at Thanksgiving is the same as not respecting the Pilgrims who came here for Religious Freedom. THEY ate turkey to GIVE THANKS TO GOD. How can you POSSIBLY give God thanks without eating turkey? Do you even WANT to give God thanks? Hmmmmm? Next thing, you'll be joining Jen in sacrificing turkeys to the Druids at Halloween. See? A VERY SLIPPERY SLOPE!!!

That is the very reason I consume it at Thanksgiving. LOL. I also consider it martyrdom since I don't care for turkey. See...two spiritual birds with one stone!
