My mixed berry one was purple, too. I only replaced one meal (either breakfast or lunch with a smoothie. So, no, it wasn't tough for me. My main goal is to eat healthier and control snacking. I did get hungry before the next meal, but I tried to either drink water or eat some type of fruit. I was out this morning for an orthodontic appointment, so I'll start tomorrow.
I broke down and did a protein smoothie. That may be what I do through the next two days...green and protein smoothies.
Did you put your protein in the smoothie? You can you know and that will help fill you up. These smoothie eat my stomach up and give me a headache. Anyone else have those problems with them?
Ok, I've just had my oldest son puke (the third child this week), I'm going to have some oatmeal with my daughter as I have no need to feel woozy all night while attending a sick boy. I'll reassess in the AM and decide what I'm doing. ICK!!
My son threw up a couple more times, but he seems better this AM. I was feeling sick in the middle of the night so I was glad I had a light supper last night. I haven't had anything yet this morning. I will start with a smoothie and go from there. The smoothies I made yesterday were 28 or so ounces. Honestly, I don't sit down and drink them all at once. I carry them around with me and drink some here and there. I'm open to advice from anyone who has had some experience in this.
Day 2, smoothie 1. 1 overripe banana handful of romaine 1 1/2 - 2 cups frozen strawberry, peach, mango, pineapple mix 1 cup water more pink than green. Wishing I had spinach.
So, I've been detoxing through being sick! UGGGH!! I'll have to take another shot at this once we are all well around here. Thanks for the input/support.
I've run of out fruit, except apples, so I'm going to have to wait until next week to continue with the smoothies.
Green smoothies........okay I"ll try!! Mint chip ice cream with .................. Kiwi and...........a shot Oh (of um) ..........
