I just ordered this book for my kindle. I generally do my "spring" cleaning in the summer when it takes a full on emergency or an empty pantry to convince me to leave my air conditioned house.

I tried fly lady, but like many of you I despise shoes. Honestly I don't wear them unless it's necessary. Growing up on the farm I was barefoot almost always. Only wore shoes to cut grass (one rock was enough to teach me that lesson), or to go out to town.

Even here in AZ I don't wear shoes if I'm just going to the office or to get the mail, I really just hate the feel of anything on my feet! I even sleep with my feet stuck out of my blankets. I know I'm a strange one, but that's just me.

ME TOO!!!! I sleep with my feet sticking out and my head covered under my pillow! I had a naturopathic friend who told me that meant something was wrong with my brain chemistry. No DUH! LOL :)

I am so glad I am not the only one who flunk fly lady!! I hate shoes too, I used to not wear them at all, but we have our business in the backyard and I have to have close toed shoes to go in there, so now I wear them all day. I hate it all day every day!

I am in to what ever extent I can do it with as busy as we are

The first time I interpreted for the Deaf at church, I was a teen. The lady in charge pointed at me, told me, "YOU! Do this song! NOW!" Well, as was typical for me, I had removed my shoes. I went up there "now" as she said, in my stocking feet. Oh, did she get on me afterwards!!! "Don't you EVER come up again without your shoes on!!!" LOL! My best (guy) friend started taking his shoes off in church; we'd kick them away from him without his knowing it, and they'd end up three rows back. Or I'd pick them up at a party, unlace them, and lace them back up backwards. (I was such a SWEET teen, lol!)

I can't stand to have anything covering my head, I don't even like hats. I also hate mittens, gloves, or any other form of covering on my hands or around my neck. I have no idea how I survived living in PA with no hats, no mittens, no scarf and rarely shoes. LOL! My mother was always on me walking the basement floor barefoot, even in the winter!

I always take my shoes off in Church, even sang in the choir barefoot. Hubby is always looking on the floor to be sure I put them back on, or if I left to the nursery he looks to see if I took them with because I'm always forgetting them and don't realize until we are halfway home! LOL!

I am a FlyLady drop out, too :( but I really tried to make it work. I'd get up every morning and kick DH out of the bed so that I could make it up lol...I put together a "control journal", shined my sink every night, and I even bought a pair of Keds to wear around the house. That lasted all of 3 months before I raised the white flag.

I'd love to give this a try!

I am a FlyLady dropout x 3 now, eeek! There were so many emails, do this, do that, shine that sink! lol I am not into shoes either, and would probably be barefoot all the time if I could. I like the concept of FlyLady overall, but I get overwhelmed easily.
