L- letting kids be kids

 

M - Making things. Hands-on activities that highlight the studies!

 

N - never having to stop working on something to go to the next subject, just because a bell rings.

BTW, sorry to have kind of hi-jacked this thread with discussions about dd's museum!

 

Love to hear you ideas, keep them coming, no matter where you post them Just my 2 cents.

O - Open to ideas - being open to any ideas that you all have had.

 

P - Puzzles are great for learning things like the names & order of the planets

 

Q - Quirky. I love being the quirky family of the neighborhood! LOL

 

R - Relatives---actually my relatives are supportive, and are seeing that homeschooling has worked out very well for us!

s-socializing with people of all ages and in many places

 

T - time with the family and doing schooling together..

 

U-Underestimating the quality of time you spend while teaching and watching your children learn!

 

V-vacationing anytime we want

 

W- Wandering slowly through the museum with a couple of children instead of rushing through with 50+
