I messaged with his mom, who told me that he's eating a lot more things than I thought. Pretty much if it's not fried, he can have it. I'm just not sure how well he's retaining it. Maybe I'll get to talk to her tomorrow at church.

Jeramy's mom posted this on his CaringBridge page yesterday:

We drove to Dallas yesterday and checked in to Ronald McDonald House just before dark last night. This morning we came to the clinic at Children's Medical and showed the doctors the miracle we have witnessed! Jeramy walked in with a smile and passed out his green bracelets Libby had made for him and we celebrated. It has been a super long day in the clinic and we are still here 9 hours later. He did need an infusion to boost his immune system as well as 2 bags of red cells but all of that can be done in the clinic and a hospital admission is not required! Praise the LORD!!! His transplant team has recommended a few medicine adjustments because he has been on a high dose of steroids for many months now. We are excited to begin to wean that as well as his continuous pain pump. Jeramy will need to keep the continuous bag of fluids with sugars and proteins to keep him healthy but his GVHD in his gut is definitely improving!!! Thank you for continuing to pray for his complete healing, we are heading in the right direction!

Jeramy's all swollen from the steroids, but they're going to start weaning him off now.

Posted about 3 this afternoon on CaringBridge:

Jeramy had a great day on Friday but Saturday was ROUGH! The only way we were able to make the trip was answered prayers. Today he was admitted into St Patricks hospital in Lake Charles with extremely low platelets and red blood cell counts. Some of his labs from Dallas have come back and show CMV and EBV (mononucleosis) so he is a sick young man. He is also bleeding so he will have a scope at 10 am tomorrow and he is wheezing so they have done chest x rays and he gets a breathing treatment every 4 hours. Maybe ...Jeramy needed to bring a little of his contagious sunshine and smiles to the nurses at St Pats? Only God knows, but we do need prayers of healing once again for his weary body.

Jeramy's mom posted this about 20 minutes ago:

Starting at 5 pm last night Jeramy started Rituximab to help with the EBV (also known as Mono). We restarted Valcyte for the CMV, he got two bags of platelets and two bags of red cells. This was finally over about 5 am so we rested for a couple of hours before the mini colonoscopy. The scope showed a colon full of blood clots and ulcers! We will get results from the biopsies in a few days. His blood pressure was 93/45 with a high heart rate! He is making the poor nurses and doctors work hard these last 36 hours. The breathing treatments are continuing to help and the chest X-ray shows no pneumonia - Praise the Lord! Because of the bleeding he will get another 2 bags of blood today. I have to wonder how many people sacrificed to sit in a blood bank or blood mobile that I will never meet who have kept Jeramy alive with their very own life-giving blood. If you are a donor, my hat is off to you, keep giving life and saving others by your sacrifice.
Jeramy has slept for the last few days because he is weak. That is probably the very best thing for him right now and we certainly don't want him burning precious calories since his intake has gone back to clear liquids today. I ask as you meet at your individual churches tonight for prayer meetings all over the U.S. please lift up our Jeramy and the many other children and adults who are facing the awful disease of cancer or transplant or are dealing with the side-effects of the poisons that have to be put in their body to cure them. May the Great Physician do a miraculous work and His name be lifted up.

Jeramy's mom posted this today on CaringBridge:

The title is "I need my prayer warriors." Jeramy came home from the hospital on Thursday evening but he is not better. He is running a low temperature, has a cough, terrible headache (since Thursday) and is very weak. He thinks of food and throws up. We are trusting in Gods promises but Jer especially is weary from the battle. He wants to be home, healed and healthy but the only thing he has is "home" for the moment.

    Today is his mom's birthday.

Praying for Jeramy and his family. I loved seeing his picture and knew the second I saw it that he was on steriods. We have so many pictures of our Matthew with the puffy face he had when his Crohn's was really bad. Hang in there J-Man. We love you here on the SPOT!

I checked with his mom this evening about 8pm, and she said his headache is better, his fever is down to about 99, and he'd just eaten a grilled cheese! "The fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Keep praying, saints!

Jeramy went to the ER last night and was admitted with pneumonia. His local doctor is trying to get with his Dallas doctor, to see if they can't start lowering some of the immuno-suppressants, because they have him so suppressed that he can't fight off anything. He also has a theory that this is what's killing off his red cells... maybe the platelets too? He's had a couple units of each today. Anyway, he's on oxygen and low-dose antibiotics trying to fight this off. I think he still has the CMV and the mononucleosis too.

    Keep prayin', saints!

Wow he is up and down every couple days it sounds. I am praying a lot more for him this week as I am down myself resting the arm, ( I took my brace off to type this so I am doing much better!) Its a time of rest in the Lord for me so I have been lifting Jeramy up as often as I remember him, I was thinking of how he is influencing my recovery as well as my family. I keep sharing his story as you give us updates and I try to be encouraged along with you all. Though mine is small in comparison I find I am grumbling less over my own symptoms and rejoicing that they are indeed small!
I also rejoice when my husband gives his platelets knowing it is helping someone like Jeramy !
Keep fighting Jer keep fighting! God is not done with you yet!
