Thanks for posting the link. I have always wondered about what CS believes. I can say I don't agree with any of what they say. Now, I may be wrong because that was only a brief overview, but Jesus is never mentioned as our Savior. I know it says they read the KJV....however, being a KJV only girl, I don't see where in the bible they are getting their doctrine. Now, no offense to anyone, I may have some misunderstanding here. But it seems to me that if they do not believe in salvation through the blood of Christ, then there is more at sake then weather to take meds or not. Ya know? When reading the info on salvation they seem to have missed the mark from a biblical perspective. Maybe they are also go by other readings or books. I do think we need to educate ourselves when it comes to doctors. My mother and her friend both were diagnosed with breast cancer. Both of them had different doctors. However, diagnosis and procedure was the same. Each woman is getting VERY different care as far as after surgery care and preventative meds and stuff like that. We need not be intimadated by a doctor's degree and ask questions and question the doctor's methods if need be. God gave us a brain, we need to use it, ya know. I think faith is very important but He did give us the ability to learn and reason and make decisions. We need to trust God yet educate ourselves.
Ava, I noticed too that in the many websites I looked up that Jesus was not really a "main" focus. That kind of disturbed me. It seems they recognize him, but not to the extent he should be, in my opinion, and didn't talk about salvation really.
I do belive in healing. However, God also made herbs and other things to help us stay healthy. Why would he go through great lengths to create these items if he didn't want us to use them?
I really am not here for a debate about how you feel about the religion, just about advice, as posted early on, from other CS that have used medical and how they adapted/justified their thinking. Thank you for the discussion though! ETA not being rude, just no reason to discuss it further as no one has any first hand knowledge of it and that was what I was looking for.......some good information gained though, again, thank you
I see you point. Sorry no one could help. Maybe, there is a forum like this one for it??? Try search and see if you can contact a church or a discussion group, then you may find the answers you are looking for. Most people are more than happy to discuss thier religion, so I doubt you will have trouble finding a CS willing to talk.
