My kids are not in 4-H yet, but I've been working there and taking the kids and they have enjoyed it quite a bit....sure! just when we move to town  .... And Jackie, just when I thought we couldn't possibly have more similarities....when I bred dogs it was German Shepherds! I still have one..Nile...he's neutered so I'm not tempted to get back into breeding  . I also train and help others with "problem dogs". I want my kids in 4-H just so I can help do the obedience work!...of course they will have the choice to be in it or not, but I'm gonna be really happy if they are! Spiderman (both) were really good, too!...and family friendly!
I know Phillip would love Spiderman. Carl may have let him see the first one, I'm not sure. It's me who's a little hesitant! He's ALL BOY...loves all those transformers, Go-Bot type stuff. We went to a birthday party for a "new" (adopted from the Philipines!) cousin, and Phillip was "OOO-AHHHHing" over all the mechanical scorpions, etc. we saw at the store while buying presents. Brooke, my "true love" are labs! When I was first out on my own, I got a beautiful yellow lab pup. She was my baby! We had to put her down about five years back in December. Well, before we knew that, DH decided Brandi wasn't going to last much longer, so he arranged for this German Shepherd pup (about three months old) from a gal he taught with who breeded them as a Christmas present. So when we had to put my dog down, he came home the NEXT DAY with a picture of it, saying, "What do you think?" She's a WONDERFUL dog, but I wasn't ready for a new one at that time.
Poppet had a wonderful, goofy, big yellow Lab. He disappeared, and we have no clues as to what happened to him. She was so upset. We had gotten him when he was a few months old, and we had him for almost 3 years.
I saw all 6 Star Wars movies. YUCK!!! I hated them no singing, just fighting. My ds wanted me to watch them with him. We took him to see #3, I tried to get out of going but was unable to. Took my dd to see Annie the play and musical. She was very little but she liked it. I saw Greese, and Dirty Dancing they were ok. Danni (13) says that Gone with the Wind and Seabiscut are her favorites. Aubbi (11) says that Star Wars, and any other SuperHero movie were his favorites. Dh loves SuperHero movie also. He also like Star Wars. They can't wait till Zarro comes out. We all love John Wayne movies. The ones made back in the 30's and early 40's. I think our favorite is Angel and the Badman.
My girls love any diney movie that comes out. Right now it is anything with Raven in it so we watch Cheetah Girls alot. I don't know waht my favorite movie is I am ashamed to admit it but I really love The Lion King. The first one. I could sing every song. And the Wizard of Oz. I probably have a favorite but for some reason I can't think of it right now.
I love A Mother's Prayer about a HIV+ mom (no not gay) and her young son whose dad is already deceased. The mother hunts him a home. So sad and I cried alot. It does have a gay male center in it where she goes to ask for help. It is PG 13. has Linda Hamilton in it. I also loved Losing Isaiah. About a little black boy in a white foster home and he gets took back by his mother. I cried too.
Has Poppet seen the "Air Bud" movies? They are all absolutely identical, but SO "family friendly"! My youngest (boy, loves sports!) especially loves Buddy!
No, Poppet hasn't seen the "Air Bud" movies. She really doesn't like movies... except Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder version... sorry, Eeyore .)
