I am SO sorry. First, I did not even know about your dh passing. I am so sorry. I have been hit and miss lately on this board so I have not been up to date. I will pray for this situation. I do not think you are being selfish. You have to do what is right for you and your kids. Your mil is going through a hard time as you are....she may not realize how selfish she is being. Grief can make people act in crazy ways. Hopefully, she will learn to understand and respect your decisions. Yes, Naomi and Ruth is a great devotion...however don't let that steer you in the wrong direction. That story is not simply about a mil and a dil. That story is a picture of the gentile come to know the true God.
