Ok, now I will show my age. The first movie I went to was in a local theater - we paid $.25 to see, I think it was a Little Rascal show. It wasn't a full length movie, but a lot of the little 1/2 shows. I also remember going to see Bullet (of course I was in high school) I wanted to go see Hard Day's Night, but my mom said no way, that is Rock and Roll - my brother did get to see it though.

My dh taped a whole lot of the Little Rascal's. Elijah and Gianna loves them. He also taped all the episodes of Leave it to Beaver. We watch them occassionally.

They had a marathon of LITB and he taped them and then cut out all the commercials. Oh, he has all the Andy of Mayberry too. They are too cute and funny.

I may have gone to movies with my parents before that, but it's the first one I remember.

I have a vague memory of being in the theater during Empire Strikes Back with my cousins. I don't really remember watching it, though. I do remember watching The Man from Snowy River, which I think was around the same time? My parents love to tell about how I cried through the first part because I wanted to be home watching The Dukes of Hazzard.

And I agree that Tom Cruise is a big freakazoid. Jerry Maguire is one of my most favorite movies, but he has kind of ruined it a little for me.

Kris, I think that was mine, too! I may not even remembered it so much, but I DO know that Mom started calling my little brother Gus, because he was a "butterball" like the Gus in the movie!

I think I saw The Jungle Book at the drive in theater, it was a replay of the older one, I saw it in the 70's

The first one I remember seeing in the theater was Pete's Dragon.

As a young adult I remember going to the movies often. Even seeing the same movie 3-4 times. The days before videos and Dvds for sure.

Now we rarely go to the movies, if we do it's a treat. It's cheaper and sometimes more fun to rent a movie, pop popcorn, and enjoy a movie together.
