Hi, I am so frustrated. I bought some curriculum off one of the used curriculum forums and now I am afraid I might have been ripped off. I havn't gotten one email from the lady since I sent payment. What do I do? I spent quite abit of money. Or do I just chalk it up and know never to buy from a used curriculum site. again. I usually just buy from ebay which I have never had any trouble. I payed using a money order. I just don't know what to do. I guess I shouldn't have been so trusting. AMY :cry: :evil: :evil:
pray Pray that they will be honest. I am always scared to do that. I always just buy new because of being scared of being ripped off.
Sometimes it seems that they are not reliable and then you'll get surprised when you get you purchase. I hope you have their email address, if so keep emailing her until you get what you need from her..I know excatly how it feels. let us know Randa
What site was it from? Contact someone there, and they might be able to do something about it. The people running the sites try very hard to keep it on the level, and will try hard to weed out those that can't be trusted. It could be that the person's computer went down, or they're out of town for a few days. Please don't let this turn you off of the used sites! I've been using them for quite some time now, and have never had trouble.
This is frustrating! How long ago did you order the item? Was she waiting to receive your money order before shipping? I know alot of stuff I've bought used is sent media mail- it's cheaper than regular delivery and it takes a good bit longer. Hopefully you'll get your purchase soon. If not, take Jackie's advice and get in touch with the people running the site. Good luck,
Normally when you buy something from a website and pay with paypal (for example), there should be somewhere's or someone to report it to. I wish I had the answers for you... Brenda
HI, I AM GOING TO WAIT A LITTLE LONGER , I MIGHT BE WORRING OVER NOTHING. AS SOMEONE MENTIONED MAYBE HER COMPUTER WENT DOWN OR SHE'S OUT OF TOWN. IF I DON'T HEAR FROM HER IN A WEEK THEN I WILL DEFEINTLY DO SOMETHING. IF IT WAS JUST A FEW DOLLARS I WOULDN'T WORRY BUT I NEEDED THIS CURRICULUM AND REALLY CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY IT AGAIN. I ALSO HAVE NEVER BOUGHT FROM A USED CURRICULUM SITE. IT DOES TAKE ALOT OF TRUST THAT THE PERSON WILL SEND YOUR ITEMS AFTER YOU HAVE PAID FOR IT. WHO KNOWS MAYBE MY PAYMENT IS LATE ARRIVING. Amy if sent a money order it can be tracked down through the post office. I would see the person has recieved it.
update! GOOD NEWS, THE LADY EMAILED ME. THEY HAD COME DOWN WITH WHOOPING COUGH AND WAS UNABLE TO GET BACK WITH ME. SHE IS SENDING OUT MY PACKAGE TODAY. I AM SOOOOOOO RELIEVED. THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT. AMY

frustrated, Hello, I am just updating everyone, I have still not received my books or the tracking # that she promised to send. I am hoping this is an honest person and has sent the books and the mail is just slow. I know I won't be buying from the used sites anymore. I will either buy new or from ebay. (I know , you have to be careful with ebay also). Keep praying that I will receive the books soon. It just makes me sick to think people will rip others off just to make a buck. There is one specific used curriculum site that I use and I have never had trouble. As a matter of fact, there is a place to post fraudulent (or any other) complaints. I wouldn't pay full price unless I had to for whatever reason.
nothing new I have never received my books or any emails back. I tried the phone # listed but it wouldn't work. I am at a loss as to whether there is anything I can do. I contacted the web site but have never received anything back. I did see that they posted that they are not responsible for any problems that accure. I really lost alot of money. It makes me sick thinking about it. I should have know better. I have emailed severel times with no luck . I will never purchase from a used site again. Except for ebay where I think there will be someone to help out in the case of a problem. amy
I am so sorry you've had such a bad experience!!! Do whatever you can to trace the person down. I hope they can find her!!!
And in the meantime I'd visit everty used curriculum site you can think of to see if she deals there. If you find her I'd post your experience.
Amy, Trish is right hun, if you sent a money order the post office can do something. Also to send the money order you must have had the womens address, send her an email stating if she doesnt send the books or return your money with in so many days, you will report her to the police because this is mail fraud and it is punishable. I am like you, if it was a few dollars oh well, but i read your post in the site and thats alot of money to loose. Im sorry but i would not let this rest, your in my prayers. Rebecca
