Just wanted to say, on the eve of the election, good luck!

I'm a little jealous of you guys because not only are you on the verge of making history whichever way you vote but you've also got great candidates. I'll be staying up late tommorrow night with Pepsi, pocorn and CNN to see what you all decide! :D

Take the kids with you, but VOTE!!!

Actually, I can't remember how old your kids are, but if it's at all realistic, take them. My kids think it's neat to go to the polls with me. If not, I hope you find someone!

I'll be staying up late tomorrow night with Diet Dr. Pepper, fresh-baked cookies and FOX News!

For those who say Fox is biased, too, I heard them bash Palin this mornring for reneging TWICE on an interview. Actually, I'll probably switch back and forth between networks some!

I have taken them before to primaries or not so hotly contested (I don't know if that's what I'm trying to say), but with what they are thinking for voters turnout the wait may be too long.

I fully expect a long line tomorrow so I intend to take the children and their backpack full of coloring books, school books, reading books, and crayons. Then we will basically do school right there in the voting line! The boys are too yount to really understand in detail the election but they know that tomorrow mommy has to go and make her choice for who should be our next president, although I'm not sure they fully understand who the president is. Anyway I'll take them with me and we'll see what happens..if they get to restless I'll just leave and go back after hubby gets home from work.

My fears about taking my kids is the wait, too. Although, I can take them midday when most folks will be at work and stuff. Still havent decided on whether or not to take them.

    Hmmmmm......

I have a "New Mix" channel on my DirecTV....
It was made for news junkies like myself....

It is a screen with EIGHT news channels at one time!
Simply click your remote from one to the other to hear the audio from a specific one, or click on it to bring that channel up full screen...

    Best thing about it...
You can tell which channels do what, when....

    It will be that channel...
With peanuts (Salted roasted, baseball style)
    Mr Pibb
And my computer to instantly opine my opinions, that I know EVERYONE wants to hear... haha!

I think we have something similar to that. We recently switched from satellite to cable. (more stuff, less money:)). Love it, but I'm still figuring it out!

Folks here have said they stood in line for 7 hours this weekend for early voting! I know one of the news anchors said he was in line before the 9:00 start time and it was 1:00 before he was done. There hasn't been an issue of problems, just alot of people turning out. We've been trying to figure things out for us - my 18 yr stays with my oldest dd but she has to vote up our way. My oldest votes in town. The way it looks right now, my oldest will bring the younger one and the dgds here tonight and we'll hit the polls early with my dh and dd (13) babysitting until we come back. That way my oldest will have time to vote before she goes to work.

Four years ago, my kids and I spent probably 1.5 hours waiting in line. They had stuff with them, but we didn't expect it to be that long. They did VERY well! This year, I won't be taking them. I'll take the cell phone, and the school we vote at is very close. I'll to early in the AM, as soon as the polls open and let the kids sleep in until I get home, because I have staff meeting at church at 9:30, and the girls have co-op at 1:00.

Two good candidates? WHO??? Why hasn't anyone told me about them, because I'm sure not happy with the choice I have!

I only had to wait about 5 minutes, but I voted early a few weeks ago. I've heard the lines are expected to be long tomorrow.

I voted by absentee ballot, but I heard on the news that the best times to go are from 9-11 am and 1-3 pm. During those times everyone will be at work and the lines will be shorter.
