Hmmm...we don't wear camo and culottes, but I did wear a mad scientist costume when I hosted a mad science homeschooling event at my house. I think I'm teetering on the line at best. LOL

I liked it...lots to laugh at there.

Sorry for asking since I'm new on the forums...but was this a joke or are you serious?

I think she forgot to mention the monotone voice. I also think the ratio of 'homeschoolers' to 'home schooled' is more like 60/40 not 20/80.

I think it would depend on where you live. I love in a very large city, with a very large hs'ing community. There are three families on my street alone (maybe 15-16 houses). There are many, many things available here, so getting out and about would be easier than for a family in a small town with limited resources. On my street one would be called homeschoolers and 2 would be homeschooled (based on this girl's view). But I don't think this girl was going for correct statisitcs as much as she was trying to prove the point that home-educated people can be "normal". I do think the section with the "Homeschooler" and the "homeschooled" girls answering questions leaned too much towards making fun for my taste.

PUBLIC NOTICE: This video is a joke, feel free to laugh.

There is a disclaimer at the beginning of the video. It's supposed to be funny!

I said young girl, not little girl. There is a disclaimer at the beginning of the video, it's a joke, it's okay to laugh.

I thought it was funny! Takes a lot of guts to make a video and put it on YouTube.

I get that it was supposed to be funny. But I still think that part was a little too much for me.

I personally loved it. And I do like the point she makes that people won't necessarily know what homeschooled people are like since they very often look pretty much like everyone else.

it was cute the way she went back andforth from her self to herself

Funny how opinions can be so different; I thought just the opposite. My first thought was, 'She's all dressed up and looks professional and her makeup even looks good.' Although I am a guy so I would think we see something like makeup differently :)

I thought it was a bit much, but video recorders tend to make a person looked "washed out", so she might have added more than normal to compensate.
