    Confession Time:

I am one of those moms that also feels guilty for doing anything that revolves around me, that brings me pleasure-fun and not my family. I never went anywhere unless it was to the beneifit of my family, shopping for food etc. for the past 19 years!

Last summer a friend asked me many times to go to the city and have lunch and get our nails done. I kept declining her offer. My dh and ds' told me if I keep telling her no, she will think I don't like her. I kept saying no because I felt selfish doing something that I enjoyed which my family did not directly benefit. Anyway, I reluctantly agreed to go and shared with my friend that in 19 years, I have never gone out with a friend to have fun, just for me.

It was hard for me to do that, I felt terrible, guilty and selfish for indulging myself.

So dear, I know where you are coming from.

Side Note~ My bff and I had a BLAST!

and as my dd would say to me if I said that ( which is pretty close to me!) "Well STOP IT!"
We do not need to feel guilty for having a little free us time. I work with our women's ministry to make fun outtings and retreats for the ladies so they can have some time to regenerate. As the ladies here have told me before we need to be our best for our families if we are running ragged and not having time to regroup our thoughts ideas and plans to be able to best serve ( yes I said serve face it we do but we do so in love so its okay to call it that) our families we will be not as good as we could be.
When go on a retreat weekend or just a ladies night out , game night, or whatever theya re doing, we have fun ( mind you we do not drink so its good clean fun) and we come back ready to deal with all the 'fun' of parenting!
No pressure, just join us for our conference! Its on the 15th and i am sure I can fit ya in!

YES...this is me as well. I hate disorganization...but sadly enough keeping organized is not one of my strong points. So, I go trough these phases until I am organized again. lol. Actually, today I am reorganizing chores, and school again as school comes to a close in the next few months.
