    Kris,
Go you your local forest service office and they have some very wonderful posters and educational material that is perfect for science! Worked for us!

I will check out my used curriculum to see what I have. We had a house fire a few years back so I dont have everything from all the previous years. I will let you know.
    :D

    Sams Club or BJs

Our local Sams club and BJS have loads of history stuff and science books for like $5. per book. They will work well. Also I buy Zoobooks for science. They are like $20 a year and have a full study in each book. I print a test page for my kids and a word search using words from the book. Patricia is using them too.

    library

Last year we studied the orphan train, underground railroad, pony express, etc. by just using library books only. Just an idea for you. It does take a little work but not much.

    Kris,
Just checked my curriculum library and didnt have what you needed. Our house fire did a lot of damage do our library of curr. Sorry!

But, :D I do have a place that I think most everyone would be interested in for free curriculum. I used it myself.

    It is:
    http://www.statefarm.com/kidstuf/smoke/teacher/tchintro.html

State Farm ins. has a site that has K-5 grade curriculum that covers lang. arts, math, social studies, science and other subjects. They have units on house fires, what to do, etc. Very interest. Back when I used it they mailed a huge binder out for each subject free of charge that had all the curric. and a video tape. Looks like you get that on line now.

    Check it out! :D
