I'm not a fan of his politics, either, but I was just talking to my sister about this this morning. Obama truly does look totally in love with his wife. I don't get the same feel from her though I'm sure she loves her husband dearly. She seems kind of guarded to me. But then, I'd be that way if my whole life was in the public spotlight. I didn't hate the ball gown at all. It wan't necessarily what I'd have picked, but I thought it was OK. I do like the fact that Michelle doesn't seem to cave to the pressure of buying over-the-top clothing for herself or her family.
I thought it was too showy and not respectful enough for the first lady. Hopefully, she will develop more class with time being in the white house. Maybe some advisor or something can help her.
Is this in reference to the inaguration dress or the ball gown - showy and not classy? Just wonderging because I did not see the ball gown only the inaguration dress. If it is in reference to the inaguration dress then I just have to say that I really think it is interesting and kind of neat how people can see things so very differently. I thought the inaguration dress looked very classy indeed. She looked beautiful and carried herself really well - in my opinion of course. I personally do not think she needs an advisor at all in any way shape or form when it comes to clothing. They would just screw her up and make her something she isn't. Develope class? She already has it!
ok here comes the tomatoes, I thought it looked like they were getting married instead of taking office.
Maybe this shows how little I am into fashion, but on both outfits, I thought, "Isn't she cold?!" My shoulders don't come out in public until July! As for the suit, personally, I would have been in long johns, jeans, overstuffed jacket, tobogan hat, mittens and scarf for the outdoor activities. She was outside for most of the day; First Lady or not, you couldn't have paid me to be out in 20 degree weather with only panty hose protecting my legs!
I thought that as well...or are they going to the prom... NO TOMATOES from me.... Of course the song At Last just seems like a wedding song & kinda corny...my lil ole opinion.
