I think I've been married the longest by a whole month or so, To the best man in the world, as y'all know! Crystal and Beth have more children than I, Though I'd have taken more--about that I won't lie. Ohio Grandma has me beat in the number of "grand." Several of us are farmers and dearly love the land. Timklemom, I believe, has travelled more miles, But I have the squarest jaw and the broadest of smiles! I saw this poll and knew we'd be tested: I'm sure I'm the eldest, unless you contest it. This time, though, I won't ask for a prize, you can bet, 'Cause I'm not ready for that brown package just yet! Now I have prayed a mountain of prayers and wept an ocean of tears, And I've passed you all up in number of years. But the race isn't won by numbers in a ring. It's won at the end by seeing the King! http://www.homeschoolspot.com/showthread.php?p=131549&highlight=married+month+longer#post131549 This link is from the previous time this question was asked. (You've just got to smile!)
Prairie, that is so cute, do we read it as a poem or sing it as a rap song Jackie doesn't have any grands, but I do have 5 with 1 on the way, unless you want to count my 2 grands as 2 of my children now. I think you have me beat in age by 1 year
Drat..I'm just 2 months over being able to mark 25 and younger! Am I the youngest one here? Just turned 26. Amy
Dalynn, I am always card, my buddy and I get card everytime we are on the pink jet. We are just alittle older then you girl. Praire home how long you all been married?
Ah-oh DaLynn, I guess you're not the Baby after all. Amy is about 3 years younger than My Buddy and me, and 2 years younger than you! Kris, looks like we have a couple of kids younger than you and me....
Amy, you and I could have a youngest and oldest party and invite all those in between to come! We could harvest information from this Spot about each one--likes and dislikes, how many children and their ages, what curriculum they use, what jobs they and/or their husbands have had or have, etc., get pictures of everybody, and then see who could match up the data with each person the most accurately. I may be the oldest, but especially in spring it seems like my beloved and I are young lovers again! Our crab apple tree is in bloom, as are the tulips, and yesterday ds captured a moment I'll share with you. The other one was taken Sat with a good friend at a community gathering. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w167/Buddy_lad/rain015.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w167/Buddy_lad/rain010.jpg Thanks, Ohio, for helping me get the right person in the poem. (I went back and corrected it.) Your question about children and/or grandchildren reminds me of a riddle: Two mothers, two daughters, a grandmother, and a granddaughter were all having tea at a restaurant. How many tea-cups did the waitress bring, if she brought one for each? Only three. The mother was both a mom (to her daughter, of course) and a daughter (to her mom, who was also there), and her mom was both a mom and a grandmother, etc. I know I may have just insulted all of your intelligence *smile* but since you're all so young, and since there aren't many grandmothers on here, I figured you just might not have gained enough experience yet to get it figured out!!! ha-ha-ha!)
Prairie Home that sounds like a great idea! I love parties! I'm ok with being the youngest here because it means I have all you "older" ladies to give me advice! Amy
Jennifer R, ME! I am a Gran instead of a grandma but that is the same thing. My boys say Gran. Austin is 9 years old and the son of my oldest son, Beau, one of our twin daughter's son, is 3 and will be 4 in August, and Ozzie, who I usually call Babyboy on here, is 2 and will be 3 in Sept. He is our unofficial grandboy. He is the son of the best friend of our other twin and we couldn't love him more even if he was a biological grandboy. ( I call them my grandboys hoping someone will get the hint and give me a granddaughter!) Beth
Beth, I don't know if I knew that about you! That makes PH, Ohio Gma, yourself and I that I know of for sure.
Well, I am the oddity - I am 50 and have a 10 year old and a 6 year old. Can you say "Better late than never?" LOL! My cousins all have grandkids the age of my kids!
I am a Grandma to a 13, 10,(boys) 5, 4, 3 (girls) and a boy ETA - July 2nd. We adopted the 13 and 4 year old, so that makes us 54/55 with a 13 and 4 year old:shock: What were we thinking????
Cheryl, scoot over just a few inches. I'm going to step up beside you in your claim to fame! My twins were born when I was 40! (Long, fascinating story, which I can tell you another time. Aren't the stories of all of us friends here on the Spot fascinating?) Oops! Cheryl, it looks like Ohio Grandma has us beat! Oh well, we can tie for second place!
