I agree w/Jackie. When the school suspended the girl what did they tell the mom? If she had mental illnesses, why would the mom not have raised serious concern and started asking questins and demanding answers? I in no way am making excusses for the school but seriously if the parents of public schooled kids would step up their game, the schools would have no other option but to do the same.

I doubt many. They are blaming the school board and there is a FB group devoted to expelling the board and voting in a whole new one. The school district is not to blame, apparently... just this particular school board. Of course, the outrage is equally fueled by the board's decision to ban two books this year.

The people in this district are fiercely loyal.

yes, and no one that mattered believed that I got pushed up against walls, groped, and "mock" raped (with clothes on, but I could still feel the boy's body)... right in front of teachers that would shut their doors when the bell rang and simply mark me and the boy late for class.

I wasn't crying or fighting or anything, no... not at all (((dripping sarcasm))))

Yeah, I don't homeschool to "shelter" my kids... but keeping them safe from these types of incidences.. sure.. I do it partly to protect them.
