Becky, I sent Jeanne her rocks out in the mail yesturday. I hope Troy put enough postage on them to get through the mail. Let me know when you get them and hope she enjoys them. I had the kids sign the note inside too...well, the ones that can write at least and I wrote the other ones.
Yes, they came. Lorna, yours did, too. Forgive me for not posting. There's been so many health issues here, Petunia, that I just forgot to update. Thank you both.
I was just remembering today that we hadn't sent a rock from TX. We actually had SUNSHINE today. Haven't had any since last Thursday and for us that are use to SUN...it's been tough!!!! Bad news is that it is suppose to rain again tomorrow and into next week so...we cut school short today and went outside and PLAYED.
So here in Ohio, the kids are complaining we haven't declared Homeschool Snow Day like we did last year. Down your way, you declare a Homeschool Sun Day???
Becky, Like Sheila I have had so much going on that I have forgotten to send the rock(s). So sorry! I will TRY to get around to it soon! Are you still wanting them?
No, it's cool. Anyone who said they'd send rocks but haven't doesn't have to unless you still want to. We're still doing our rock unit, because medical issues really kept us from it.
Well, I feel better. I was feeling bad because mine had gotten sent out so late. Did Jeannie get them yet, Becky?
I'm trying to remember when I sent them. Maybe Wednesday while the girls were at piano lesson? I know I only had Phillip with me, so that's probably when they were mailed. They should be arriving sometime soon.
Becky, I sent some rocks a couple of days ago, but I forgot to put a note in. Ooops! Oh well, sorry! One rock, in the yellow paper is from our yard. A lot of the rocks around this area are said to be glacier til (I don't know how to spell that). So it could be from an ancient glacier! The other one I saw and bought, not sure if she has something like that, but I thought it'd be fun for her anyway! Let me know when you receive them.
Geez Deena....so much information about your rocks.....I'm a city slicker and it's a rock. HAHA! I've got one to send up but...wanted to gather a few more. We don't have any "natural" ones in our yard that we can get to so...we need to hit the nature path. The one I have is real small but...it came home with us from the goat farm (yes...why did I not think to grab some out there?). Anyway...I haven't forgotten completely.
I didn't know that info., to tell the truth. My dh, who seems to know everything (he really is amazing!!!), told me that, so I included it!
