Yep, I had to fight the urge to say rude things about her to my dd too! I told her I was sorry that happened, that that girl made a wrong choice! THen we discussed how my dd felt about it, and why it was a good lesson to see why we need to be careful of our words and actions, so that we don't hurt anyone by bad choices like that. Using it as a learning experience of how we DON'T want to act, is the best I could do! Even so, my dd won't be playing with this girl for a long time!!! There is a GOOD friend across the street from us. My dd and her always have a great time together and enjoy each others company! In fact that girl called this morning to see if my dd could come play. So as soon as dd finishes her work, those two will play together! Maybe that friend calling is an answer to prayer!
you would be better off using this as an opportunity to teach your daughter the virtue of meekness. yes? sometimes a mother's compassion for her children is the child's worst enemy. ouch!
Yes, she was meek and we talked about that too. She didn't retaliate in any way, so I told her that was a good thing, that's what Jesus would have done!
