LOL!!! You know that means he can get his temps in 6 months!!! Are you ready for that, lol? Tell Elijah we all are wishing him a happy birthday!
I don't think so!!! Elijah said thanks Having a great day today. We have 2 extra children today. They also hs and are in the 7th grade. They are all done with their work and playing quietly.
God shut one door for a job and another may be opening. We praise the Lord for every door that either opens or shuts. Dh has been very helpful around the house. Right now he is making me an omelet!!!!
We got a Beagle dog, named Suzy-Q about a 2 weeks ago. She is doing really well adjusting to the family. School is done for Gianna, she is working on Dollar Store workbooks. Elijah is done with school for the day. The sun is shinning, we have 2 extra children over today and they are all (including Suzy-Q) in the woods playing. I'm by myself. Ahhhhh
I'm so happy for you Kris. I know how much you and your family loved your RV, glad you were able to get another one and continue your family camping trips.....in style! Thats my postitive for the day...my friend is happy!
What a great idea! ok so a couple of days ago I found a co-op close by where the kids can take classes on Monday. Time and place are both convenient for us! And it's affordable! Hubby got a job today (though still waiting to see if it's as good as they say)
Just wanted to pop in and say that we are one of the few families here that has had an awsome move in. A few things didn't quite make it 100% but they are still usable. Everything has come quickly and we have just been blessed.
I received my Substitute License through the state and now I am officially a Substitute teacher. I subbed for a teacher for 6 days while she was in the hospital. She gave me a nice letter when she returned thanking me for my hard work, enthusiasm and professionalism. Made me feel good.
Congratulations! I admire teachers hugely - you make such a difference in children's lives. Me... I'm happy because I got a letter published in the newspaper today AND I also just found out that one of my short stories will be published in a magazine this spring. It's a good day!
Oh, and one more happy thing... Yesterday our church's youth ran the service. They wrote the whole thing, and organized everything by themselves, getting final approval from our minister. The focus was on our church's core tenets of belief. There was great energy, and when the kids called for church members to come up and give a testimonial, there were more people than there was time for! People were really inspired by the kids' sermon, and eager to share. Funniest moment - when a boy referred to us an "intentionally exclusive congregation", instead of an "intentionally inclusive" one. He handled the slip with good humour and continued on to the rest of his talk without any problem. Favorite moment - my daughter talking about finding a place to belong. Most sentimental moment - the youth decided to sing "Imagine" at the end, and were joined in the second chorus by the choir. It was really lovely. The man sitting next to me was wiping tears from his eyes. Have a wonderful day, everyone!
Well I'm happy to say I can add to the positive thread yet again! IT took a lot of work but I got our classroom (which was once our office/craft studio/junk room!!!) all cleaned up! It's an official classroom now! All I need are 2 chairs to go at the table for the kids to sit at! You can see photos here http://gapeachhomeschool.wordpress.com/ I got a 'system' set up for weekly school work-That photo is here http://gapeachhomeschool.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/sany1519.jpg - the 2 drawer systems that are the same and have labels. One drawer is for worksheets, one for crafts/games/projects and one for books that need to be read that week. So the kids can chose what they want to do 1st. I'll put a week's worth of work in it and they have the control to do it in the order they want. I already have a weeks worth in there for each of them! I'm so excited!
What a great job!!! (Wouldn't work at my house, because I could NEVER confine my teaching to one room, but would love just one room to keep everything in!) HOWEVER, what do you plan on doing with ALL those EGGS? (Just curious!!!)
Our home is finished and ready to be moved! We inspected it on Friday and it is simply perfect. I want to live in my new kitchen forever!
I love you girl, you are so sweet and special... I am happy just to have a wonderful friend like you to talk too, cry too and laugh with.
