Glad you have time to get it fixed and sent back.

And I am so very thankful that I live in a state with NO requirements.

Oh.. and we have to have seperate portfolios for each kid.. but we do luck out and get to put all of them on one affidavit.. but each one needs their own objectives list and immunization record and evaluation and on and on.

Yup one lasts for-eber. LOL, the only time you have to fill out more than one is if you have more than one child and/or if you stop homeschooling and send them to ps and then start homeschooling again. IT's so easy...and we don't have to keep any records or tell the state what we are studying or anything. I feel blessed to live here and be able to homeschool this freely.

Yeah, we don't have as many flaming hoops as PA but we do have to file our notice of intent every year by Aug 15 with our list of curric for math & lang arts and then file standardized test scores by Aug 1st of the following year (unless you file under religious exemption, the tutor law, or use on of the more intensive proof options like a portfolio.

No plans to ever move to PA...you ladies in PA rock for jumping thru the flaming hoops!!

no lists, just of what kids you have and ages.
no shot records, no list of what you are teaching, not even a record of attendence, though they say you do have to keep attendance, you just dont have to go for any set number of days Lol, we could go for ten days and say we are done lets go to the next year LOL!

Yep. That's what I had our pediatrician do. I don't have to send these in, just keep them on file at home. Same with the attendance record, and the test results. I don't even have to open the test results if I don't want to, just keep them in the file.

We only have to send in the application one time - no notarization or anything. We only have to send another form if our homeschool closes.

It actually depends on the option we are homeschooling under in CA, since their are four ways to operate. I was under a private group and I had to abide by their rules. I had to keep attendance records, semester objective lists, curriculum notification, end of the year testing, mandatory meetings, report cards, and we had to complete 180 days. The affidavit was submitted for me. Now that I am operating as my own private school, I love it!!!! It is simple! :D

    Still dancing in Texas....

    Standing in my back yard....
Dressed in a moo moo with pink and green rollers with bunny slippers and cocoa stains....
    Shouting to the sky.....
    "The Empyrean Academy is Open!"
"So it shall be written, so it shall be done!"

    Goad Bless Texas!

Well, if things do not work out in Cali, and I do not see why they wouldn't, then perhaps Jen and Tiffany will have a new neighbor fresh out of Southern California!LOL
