    Thanks Jennifer
I will check the link out later when I have a little more time and not so tierd. We went to my mom and dads this weekend. Things went very well. This is the first time my son has slept anwhere else but our house since he came home from the hosiptal in Dec. It was a very nice weekend. He did so well, I am so proud of him. we are both very tierd now.

I am so glad that I'm not the only one that think the way those parents teach or parent is nuts. And how rude they were to new comer!! I came home and got on the site thinking I would see where you guys had been on! But what do you say to them except that they are nuts!!!!

Amy I am glad that you and your son had a good weekend.

My first thought was to go over to that site and "play their game" so to speak but after reading that junk it is obvious to me those ladies are total nut jobs. They aren't just rude, they are plain crazy!

I agree! I was appalled reading that post! Those children are going to grow up thinking life is all about them. What a rude awakening they will have one day! Going to go find that blog now...

Tanner is the same way. He hates ice cream. So does hubby, unless it's peanut butter cup ice cream. Tanner likes the "thought" of liking ice cream, but as soon as he takes one bite he asks for something else. LOL Me...I like ice cream, but it doesn't like me.

Oh...just to add...I want so bad to go look at that other forum...because I'm nosey like that. LOL BUT...after reading all of these responses I know I'd have a hard time keeping my mouth shut over there so it's best I just don't go and look. I have very little tolerance for that kind of "parenting" style...and I use the term parenting loosely.

Ok...the whole hygeine thing is just nuts. I just can't imagine. CRAZY. How can you call yourself a mother and then allow your kids to rule the roost. I mean we aren't snakes who lay eggs and leave the babies on their own. lol.

I forgot what kind of parenting style it is (again, using the term parenting loosely), but there is a name/term for a kind of parenting style that pretty much allows the kids to do whatever they want. If a child whines about getting their diaper changed(for example), the parents will not make them get their diaper changed...even if they are sitting in poo. I call it just plain LAZY parenting, but there is an actual term for it. I think people just put a label on it to make themselves feel better about being lazy.

I just wanted to tell you all of some other things I read over there that just floored me.

A woman was saying how her son hits her, doesn't listen to anything at all and even his best friend wont play with him anymore ever since she began the unschooling lifestyle. Sounds great right? Others were telling her basically "well it's better than having rules".

Another ladies child got a sunburn that was so bad he had to go to the hospital because he didn't want to wear sunscreen and they didn't make him because forcing him to do something he doesn't want to do isn't right.

A mother posted about not being able to handle the kids not having a bedtime. She said she is tired and frustrated because the kids stay up very late at night and they are too young to stay up alone so she has to stay up with them so they don't get into things. Then she is totally tired and worn out.

I am still in shock over the things I have read there. These people are seriously damaging their kids! One day they are going to grow up and be a part of society and they are going to be so lost.

These kids can grow up to be self centered-self indulgent adults that feel society owes them something!

Amen! That is exactly right! I can't believe there is a parenting style name assoicated with that crap. So, if my toddler wants to run in a busy street I should let her? If my toddler doesn't want to sit in a carseat I should risk it? Craziness. What the kids determines his or her own healthcare and discipline? That just makes no sense. I don't understand it. These parents are causing there own trouble and I don't feel sorry for them when it come back to bite them in the butt.

Why Ava of course you should let her run in the streets! How can you even think of telling her no? She is her own person and can make her own choices! I am ashamed of you for even thinking about actually parenting your child.;)

    Well ya!

Setting boundaries and having your kids learn to be responsible human beings is stifling them and can be very harmful.

Didn't your kids come with one of those tags sewn to their sides that states just that? And also it says it is illegal to remove those tags by law. LOL I tore that dumb tag off right after they were born!
