What sitcom that ended in the early 1980's had a Thanksgiving turkey give away episode where one of the stars says, "as God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!''
Yay for Jackie!! Did you know that at least a couple of times over the years that episode has been re-enacted using paper turkeys. I think that is so neat. I loved that show!
I hope I didn't confuse you with the name question. Maybe I worded it wrong. The answer will be the most popular girl's name for 14 years in a row. It stopped being the most popular in 1984. I hope that is better. This really is an easy one. Beth PS, I love you guys so I won't say I'm sorry if I confused you earlier. (HUGE hint there!)
Ashley? Jennifer? Is that the name that is the most popular? We are talking about "baby names" right?
I thought this would be so easy but I guess being older than most of you I messed up. The name is Jennifer. Way to go Ava Rose. The hints about being sorry or not saying I'm sorry refer to the main character from the movie Love Story. Jennifer, in the movie, "says, love means you never have to say you're sorry." Or maybe it was the husband! Oh well after that movie came out in 1970 the name Jennifer was the most popular name for girls until 1984. I wonder if that is a record? Sorry this was so confusing. Beth
Yes, I had just made that connection!!! (But I don't think I'd remember her name was Jennifer. His was Oliver, I do know!) So what movie does Ryan O'Neal (who played Oliver in Love Story) says "Love means never having to say you're sorry", and the female lead says, "That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!" Though I probably can't ask you that, because the movie came out in '72.
My little sister was born in 1988 and she is a Jennifer. Jennifer remains a popular name, just no THE most popular. I was torn between 2, so I didn't answer. OK, next question.
Okay, here are some Little House on the Prairie questions: 1. What was Laura's horse's name? 2. What were the two sets of sibling actors that worked together on this show? Name at least one set. 3. What was the original name for the school teacher? 4. What was the name of Laura's youngest sister on the show? (It was played by twins, and one of the twins went to the summer camp I worked at in Southern CA. She was really sweet, but a little "taken" by her "stardom". Understandable....I think she was 12 or 13 that summer) Her real name was Rachel. Her middle name was Lindsey. Her sister's middle name was Sydney, I think it was. They used the middle names for the screen name. I don't remember her sister's first name.)
Carey was the little sister, but was there a Grace, too....? The school teacher was Miss. Buxley, I think. And FAYTHE FAILED ME!!! She should know the horse name, but forgot!!!
