Every society regulates the conduct of its citizens, from speed limits & property rights to marriage & the sanctity of life. The laws of this country were originally based on the Bible.

Amen. Banning gay marriage doesn't mean we are judging it's protecting what it right with God. No matter what is allowed, homosexuality is wrong in God's eyes, period. Just like muder, witchcraft, etc. It's a sin. I didn't write the Bible, God did. If we allow gay marriage then we may as well not have any laws to protect us from other sins. It's not judging, it's REALITY and TRUTH...says so in the fine print!!! I'm not going to argue with what God wrote!

I have known many gay people. That doesn't change my perspective on gays because my perspective is bibically based not emotionally. From a bible believing perspective this is God's world...so God's rules. Simple. Also, I just love people who like to quote the verse saying that we are not suppose to judge. LOL. We make judement calls everyday. I can clearly call something sin if the bible calls it sin. That is not judging. Besides, that is the most misunderstood idea in the bible. The judgement referred to is eternal judgement. For instance, I cannot condemn anyone to Hell. I cannot say that based on what I see that someone is hellbound. As far the plank in the eye....that is simply saying that we are not to say that someone else's sin is greater than our own. That has nothing to do with taking a stand on something that is clearly defined as a sin---abomination in the bible. I have never said that the preacher who sleeps with the church secretary is worse than me. If I did that would be the plank verse. Now, if I then say he isn't fit for the pulpit after such an act, I am well within my rights.

Oh and I also know that I have every right in this country ordained by God and man to express my opinion. I also have the right to vote against gay marriages. Funny, it seems it is not only Christians who voted this down, yet we take the heat for it. Sure we are against it and have a loud voice but we are not alone.
