Thanks Kris - I was thinking of you today and wondering how you all were doing with all the bad weather?? Praying for you. Dh and I met with our lawyer today. I feel better about the upcoming court date, but found out that I will be on the stand for several hours. I really need your prayers ladies that I make it. Answering questions from my lawyer I feel good about, its that cross examination that has me tense. My lawyer told me today that the other lawyer can be pretty tough and I need to stay focused and not let her get to me. Hello??? I will be 36 wks pregnant and fighting for my child??? Really need your prayers for that day please!! I need to be strong and hold it together. I will keep you all updated as we approach the court date on Aug. 9th. Thanks again for all your prayers. They are needed and appreciated!!
Oh Crystal you poor thing, we will be praying for you and your family during this tough time. Hang in there and show that other lady during cross exam. that you are a stronger and better women then her. and she can't get to you. Just remember who you are fighting for the baby and the rest of the family. We made it through the storm not much happen here. Thanks for thinking of us. We will keep you in our prayers. :lol:
I do not mean to be answering all of Crystal's questions; I just know that she's very busy and doesn't have time to check the boards very often. She and Rod did tell Jessie and she didn't take the news very well at all. (Understandably so.) I feel so bad for Crystal, having to go through all of this, so far along in her pregnancy. But, I know she's a strong lady, and she's been through alot. And, she is very touched that all of you ladies are so faithful in praying for the situation! Crystal~ When you read this- just know that EACH of us will be there with you guys in spirit that day, praying for your strength, and for a good outcome! I love you, my precious friend!

Another update - Lots of meetings with the lawyer and getting ready for court. We feel better prepared for the long court day. I will have to be on the stand approx 3 hours and Dh approx 1 hour. Dh is so sweet he asked the lawyer to switch the questioning so I dont have to be subject to the other lawyers interrogation and not have to sit up front so long, but I am the fact person and it is better that I take most of the questions. I do appreciate how supportive Dh is being with me. I still have moments of panic and dont know how I am going to make it thru the day. Dh will be by my side, that helps!! Tomorrow we have our second to last bonding session. This one will be just dh, I and Jessie. I hope our bond shows to the therapist. She is our daughter and we love her. It feels weird to be put in a room and have to prove that. As always your prayers are just so appreciated. Thanks to all!
Crystal, remind me again of the court date. I know it will be while we're gone camping, but I do plan on spending some time in prayer for you specifically on that day, and for Rod and Jessie, and your lawyer, too.
(Shoot me for answering this one...) I think I saw August 9th on here somewhere... On that note, maybe we could all be storming heaven with prayers and petitions for Crystal, Rod and Jessie specifically on that day but also the days that lead up to it? Brenda

Brenda, I feel like God has already taught me much in regards to this hearing. First, I can do all things thru Him. I tend to be a control freak and this has really taught me to fall on my heavenly father. I need Him and really sometimes forget that. I think I control and take matters into my own hands instead of putting them into Gods. I do believe this has been brought to us for a lesson of learning and as much as I dont like it I will learn from it and always remember it and the support I received from it. Dont get me wrong, I am still scared for next Tuesday, but it is one day and by Tues. evening I will be home with my family thanking God that it is over! Thanks all for your continued prayers.
Crystal, I told Carl that we needed to remember to pray for y'all while we were camping on Tuesday. I also told him how it would be YOU on the stand for most of it, and how pregnant you were. My brilliant husband!!! This is from HIM (roll eyes, if we still had access to the Smileys!!!) "Just tell her that if it gets too much for her, she should smile as sweet as she can and say, 'Excuse me. I REALLY got to pee!!!', and ain't NOBODY going to argue with the pregnant lady!!!" (That's his way of saying he's with you, too!)
Jackie I have to tell you that my lawyer said the same thing!! I am worried that the other lawyer for the bio father is going to really give me a hard time. My lawyer said hey, you are almost 9 months pregnant, say you have to use the bathroom and I will get you off the stand! Thats so funny that your dh said the same thing. Tell him he thinks like a lawyer! LOL Thanks so much for the support. It means so much to me!!!! I will remind myself during the ride in to the court house and during the day how blessed I am to have so many people praying for us.
