I hate coffee too, we have 3 Star Bucks in the area, not within walking distance, have never been to one, but my dd love it, I gave up soda too, but I do sneak one now and again. I usually drink my Symfree tea and water. Of course last night I had a homemade chocolate milk shake. What was I thinking:)

I used to love Dr. Pepper too, that was my very favorite soda!

TMOM--NOOOO! Starbucks is a definite Washington State thing! It's all over here---and it STARTED here! We just allowed you Californians (and some others) to have some too! You're welcome! ;)

Deena - your kidding right????? I'm on the east coast and there is literally a Starbucks on EVERY corner! I knew they started in WA though. :D

I love the joke in Shrek 2 where they leave the FarAwayBucks across the street and run right into another FarAwayBucks....so funny! :D

I have never seen Shrek and I don't believe I have ever been into a Starbucks:shock:

I have been dreaming of a Dr Pepper though! It probabably wouldn't tast good though. Most of the things I taste now are too sweet for me. It tastes like I am drinking sugar and I just can't do it.

No, Seattle's Best is not nearly as good as Starbucks! Their drinks just don't taste right!

I like that tea too! I think only Starbucks has that---is that right?

Dr. Pepper is owned by Pespi in some places and Coke in others. In one city, 45 minutes away from me, Pepsi distributes Dr. P. In Memphis, 40 min. the opposite direction, Coke distributes it. I only know that because my dad worked for Coke when I was in jr. high.

I grew up loving Dr. Pepper and was devastated when we moved to Omaha and all of the restaurants served Mr. Pibb. I usually just order a Coke, and I don't care if it is a Pepsi instead, but Dr. Pepper and Mr. Pibb are not interchangeable to me!

water- rarely anything else. If I drink fruit juice, I'll drink something with lots of vitamins and antioxidants like pomegranate or cranberry or lemon ginger echinacea if I feel a cold coming on.

My mom dated a coke exec when I was a teen (not a proud moment in my life)...

BUT...Mr. Pibb and Dr. Pepper were at one time the same drink. It was distributed under different names in the north and south. Dr. Pepper sounded more "north" or "official". Mr. Pibb sounded more "southern" and friendly.

At somepoint (fuzzy now, this is 20 years ago being told this story), Kalil (who distributes RC and A&W and somethign else I can't remeber), bought the rights BUT leased the distibuting to Coke & Pepsi. I think it's still depends on WHERE you live, WHO distributes it. In AZ, they sold BOTH Pibb and Pepper! LOL :D

Now...want to get into a discussion, lets bring up Mt. Dew and Mello Yello! LOL :D
