I've been feeling rather lonely lately. I know I can't be the only not-conservative in the place. Where are the others who think Obama's sort-of hot, are all for gay weddings, froth at the mouth when the name O'Reilly is mentioned and cry when Bambi's mother gets shot?

I should admit I'm more likely to take Bambi's mother down myself then weep over her but hey, I'm not exactly a perfect liberal.

Dawn, you are the only one we let in. LOL. I'm sure there are plenty out there. I have noticed things do seem to be slated toward the right as of late.

Oh and you think Obama is sort of hot? LOL. He isn't a bad looking man and he is a very good speaker. He is also a great double talker. LOL.

Although I agree most of the time with O'Reilly, I can't stand that guy. lol.

So, I guess I'm not a perfect conservative.

I don't consider myself Conservative nor Liberal. I am all for gay marriages (they would be FABULOUS!), don't care much for O'Reilly and I've been known to cry at dead animals. I do not think Obama is hot though, nice looking, but not hot!

You don't know how much that means to me. :) I thought it was just me but if even the folks right of me are noticing the swing this place has taken then I might not be imagining things. Not that I don't appreciate the conservative voices, just that it's getting, as I said, a bit lonely.

Nope. I think he's naive. He thought being president meant he could get what he said he'd do done. He didn't realize how much negotiating and fighting and backtracking there was involved. But anyhow, this is MY thread and so if I say he's hot then he's hot! Got it? :D

I don't think you're alone on that. I've heard from a few conservatives lately who don't think much of him. IMO he cheapens conservative debate and thought. And any show I need gravol to watch can't be healthy!

Well......I guess I would be one of those that leans to the right. However, I tend to keep my political views to myself. I don't care for "discussion/debate" that digresses into name calling instead of discourse of issues. Which unfortunately is where the majority of political and religious conversations tend to go.

I would however cry over Bambi's mother being shot.

As for the O'Reilley's and Limbaugh's, etc.....they leave me plugging my ears.

Guess I'm not a perfect conservetive. (Oh well.....that's good, I hate labels!)

So you think the conservatives are cheering when Bambi's mother gets shot? I hope you did not vote for Obama because you find him "hot."

I lean to the left as you do, but like WIMom, I tend to keep my opinions to myself and only address hsing issues on this board. Not a fan of confrontation either. I come to this board for ideas/help with homeschooling only.

PM me anytime if you need to vent!

I don't consider myself to be either liberal or conservative. I rarely discuss politics or religion at all. I don't discuss them here because that's not why I'm here. I come here only to discuss homeschooling/education.

No, no...Dawn must be the rep on the board...we LOVE her! If she starts finding liberal friends through PMing she will leave us! LOL. We are trying to convince her to join our side..how can we do that if she is cheating on us? LOL.

I didn't vote for Obama at all. I'm Canadian. And no, I don't think conservatives are cheering but then I don't think liberals are literally frothing at the mouth at the thought of O'Reilly. I was being a little less then serious with that post.

INmom: I don't think I'll PM. I think we need to pipe up a bit on this board. Not because we're right and other moms or wrong or we need to defend ourselves or such but just because the discussions were more fun and interesting and enlightening when we had more of a range of people participating in them. I think conservative moms like Ava Rose and Jackie would agree with that. Too many folks on one side of an issue tend to make for a boring talk.

I'm actually discovering that I'm probably conservative at heart in the classic, appreciate-tradition sense. I tend to think kids need a parent at home for instance. You guys are making me evaluate and appreciate conservatism. And frankly, I WAS traditionally a conservative. Like, working for a conservative political party and everything when I was younger.

I have no idea why but that made me laugh out loud! LOL.

ya know, Dawn one of my best friends was a liberal democrat catholic. I say was because now she is a conservative republican born again chirstian! LOL. One day I will assimulate you! LOL. Just kidding..I love you the way you are...you challenge me and keep me on my toes. I also tended to see that as far as family values you were conservative. You are not a flower child with free love stamped on your head! LOL.

I think that's honestly what I feel now half the time and maybe what I was trying to address with this post. I partly feel like I really shouldn't bother with the political threads anymore. But then, if I don't say anything will we be losing interesting memberss who'll look at some of the threads and think we're another conservative Christian board?

I don't know. I do know it's gotten tiring to come in and see yet another link to a FOX clip or Obama-is-evil thread.
