It's a literal dog collar. And it wasn't just them not letting me attend meeting or functions, 3 leaders took me into a back room and blocked the door, not letting me out until I took it off. Later that night when I was getting picked up they surrounded my mom's car and told her I'm not allowed back. I would have called the cops but 3 of the people who did this are cops. As for the church, yeah that's not really oppression just really annoying. I do think my question's been answered though.

Euphemism, that collar didn't belong in Boy Scouts. Did you get warned previously to not wear it? Wearing that collar didn't mean you any less believed in what Scouting stood for, but it just didn't belong on you while you were at a Scouting function. There's supposed to be a level of higher integrity in Scouting.

Yeah I know, but the other kids were allowed anything they wanted. Necklaces, wristbands, hats ect so I chose something too. Not only that, I asked the councel about it and they said it was fine. Plus that doesn't justify the actions they took.

Extreme breeds extreme. A literal dog colar?? C'mon, Euphemism, you are smarter than that. :D A dog collar implies rebellion and nonconformity. The boy scouts are all about discipline and rules. lol. Now, I will say they should not have gone to all the trouble they did. But cops...boy scouts....ex-military...those kind of people take definite action.

You are quite a character, Euphemism. May I ask, what made you choose a dog collar??? That is unusual..so there has to be a reason. I am not judging or anything. I used to wear big black boots and listen to the Violent Femmes. lol.

It goes along with the furry fandom, I don't wear it much anymore because of my job but I still like to put it on whenever I go out. Also, it's not exactly a non-conformist BDSM trinket it's a fire engine red collar with a rabies tag on it. I think it looks rather cute, most people think it's silly, the kids in my troop thought it was cool. The only people who don't like it are the people who lead the troop and so it goes.
