Now that is what I like to see, a living space that is workable.

I have seen so many that make me so jealous that I do not have an extra room or thousands of dollars to paint, shelve, etc. I am so glad to see a picture of a schooling place that is like mine!

    Here's ours http://childledhomeschool.com/our-homeschool/our-classroom/

It's small, but it's nice to have and I'm thankful for it. Most of it is stuff I had before I decided to homeschool-we just re-purposed it for homeschooling-other than that we added more arts and craft supplies and a few decorations from dollar tree and a few printouts (like the months of the year I printed, cut out and taped to the wall) and that's about it ;)

sonita i saw where u posted ur picture on another thread... i think it was the preschool curriculum thread and that's what made me want to start this thread lol.

yeah our kitchen is small and sometimes it kills me to sit in there & try to work with him on stuff BUT we are sposed to be moving into a new place in a couple weeks.... & im hoping to have more room. I will have an extra bedroom but I don't think I'll use it for a classroom since it's upstairs but there's lots of extra space downstairs... so we'll see. :p

So we school at the kitchen table right now and all the supplies go into 2 of my kitchen cupboards. But we do have our school wall. It has our master calendar for 2 months, a place to display today's work, removable cups for supplies like pencils, crayons, scissors, glue, ect. And three bins, one for each child and one for library books.

I am so jealous! We used to have a school room in our other house (the one we lost). Now we have a smaller house and are working off of the dining table. I have 1 lg and 1 sm bookcase inside and a cabinet in the garage. I have boxes that I haven't even opened since the move because there's no place to put the stuff.

I am trying to be grown up about this-but I miss my school room!!!!

Edited to add: Looking at everyone's pictures gave me lots of ideas. I'm going to rearrange my bedroom to make a little workspace for my dd5 and add some storage containers. Thanks everyone!

I'll post mine as soon as I can. I'm wondering where to find school type posters and I can't find an American flag! Any ideas?

Oh, for school type posters go to http://teacherstorehouse.com if you can't find it there, they probably don't make it, LOL. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Let me know if you find it and what you find! I had fun there even though I didn't buy a thing.

We dont have one. I guess we dont really need one, either. We have a little workspace on my table in my room. I have a "stack" on the main table for each student in which I place current workbooks and new reading lessons from TRL for 6yo. Everyone goes to their stack to get their work and we sit around the table.

In the fall things will be more formal so I'm trying to work something out in preparation for that.

Okay, am I the only one who doesn't know how to post pictures on here?

Anyway, you can see some of our complex set-up here. Just scroll down and you will see pictures of an cheap Ikea table that we use for a dining room table as well as a school table. We also use the couch for reading and my boys use a desktop computer at a desk. This is all in our tiny main living area. So that is our complex set-up:wink: We moved to this place mid-year and have had big areas in the basement prior to this set-up. Aside from the lack of space I like having school in the main living area.

We have a eat in kitchen so we turned the formal dining room into our play/school room. It's not finished yet.. we just moved in 3 weeks ago. I plan to add some things to make it look more like a school room than it doesn now.. but this will work for now!

We have laminate floors so I had to put something down to absorb the sound of toys falling..

I have a 5, 3 and 19 month old.. so I wanted something bright and fun that would work for all of them.

The boys share a room right now so our 4th bedroom is an office.. and thats where I have my school materials stored.
