what great spaces!! I'm gonna finish mine up & put more pictures up. I need an ABC rug... that'd be great... and I definitely need more posters.
LOL...well, not exactly. I bought the Thames and Kosmos Chem C3000 kit and then added in some extra 30 ml bottles (some have droppers, some don't), a set of glass graduated cylinders, the scale, the ring stand, and a few other things. Some of the stuff I had left over from previous kits. We are going full blast with chemistry lab this year and as a scientist I would give the Thames and Kosmos kit 10 stars. Especially the lab book - it is awesome. We are also going to do a major experiment on chemiluminescence so we will also need a hot plate/stirrer before December. If it works out I want him to try for the state science fair. I spent about $600 easily putting it together over the past several months, but you have to remember - I get to write all this stuff off for the business...I'm in the middle of writing a chemsitry course and I have to be able to recommend a kit for the course - plus I need to take pictures of us doing the labs to add to the lab book.
Here is our classroom! (It is in my bedroom) Our craft corner: Beneath the table are our file folders and a small bin of manipulatives. On the desk (will be removed during craft time) is our storage drawers with our arts and crafts, my folders, and their work boxes which contain their folders. They love their skeletons LOL! (obviously the laundry bag doesnt belong there!) Here are our posters and their desks. Between their desks is our storage unit that holds our printer, their craft work boxes, and books to read In my closet I have a file cabinet where I store the work books, notebooks and printer paper
What great rooms! We just work at the kitchen/dining room table and I cleared out a rolling cupboard unit to put all our stuff in nearby. Ds says he wants a dedicated area in the basement so he can concentrate better. So in time we may move and be able to spread out a little too.
You have to host them somewhere else - like photobucket - then copy and paste the direct link url into the little image code (the thing that looks like a postcard in the toolbar above).
I am so excited. I have a friend who does custom vinyl wall art and is going to do me up a set of alphabet letters and a Duet. 11:19 to go in my blank spaces! Everyones rooms look great!

I was going to have a great dedicated school room this year. and then...older daughter moved back for the summer only it lasted until last week, and now one boy may go back to school next month and the other probably next year and it seems silly to redo the whole room for a few months...so like Sommer said. School is wherever we plonk our butts. That should be our name. Plonk your Butt middle school. ha ha ha.
I'm so enjoying seeing everyone's rooms. I really really wish we had a dedicated school space, but we just plain don't have the room (we live in a mobile home). I would so love a space for schoolwork with a play area nearby, but seperate. So the older kid(s) could concentrate but I could still keep an eye on the little(s). And I'd give anything for a large enough wall space to put a decent sized chalkboard or whiteboard up. *sigh* Hopefully our plans will work out and we'll be able to build a house in the next couple of years.
J & C'a Mommy- Where did you get the color/shape/counting posters???? My boys would REALLY benefit from those!! I must know. Tell tell. lol
see if this worked ... it is messy but gives you a bit of an idea of our area this year aside from the co op class room
