Im not set up for wall space yet this year but you all bring back such memories! Thanks! Dd said I would have to photograph the whole house, I agree! lol!
I just reorganized my area as well with pics on the blog... http://www.ourtidbitsoflearning.blogspot.com
I just have to know where did you get the bar set up with the clips to hang papers off of, oh and the cups. I love those. That would so save on my holes in the walls from hanging, or the use of tape and such. I have to get one of those!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my lesson plans have gotten a lot more detailed since those first two lol but i have the lesson plans in a plastic cover and then everythinig he's done in that week is behind it
WOW this is great! Thanks for sharing ideas of what to do with the locker boxes! I was looking at them trying to think how I could use one here! My school shelves are so over loaded with disorganized papers and books I think I am going to purchase a set or two for dd and ds for thier college supplies to be kept organised in too!
the last picture is the shelf in my son's room, it's full of children's books & stuff that I dont use quite as often as the stuff on the shelf in the dining room
Love it! such organization! I like the clip board idea too! I may have to utilize it with my jr high ds!
Ok....I am so glad this thread is here!! You guys are giving me tonnes of great ideas! I am only just starting to set up our creative work space. I am using our spareroom/studio space. It is limited and I am sure we will expand to the dining room table as well. The room is about 10'x10' has a futon couch bed on one wall as well as a small desk for hubby's computer, along another (window wall) we have two bookshelves (one is for hubby's stuff) . The 3rd wall has my desk and space for a small desk for my little guy. Above his desk space I will be putting up fun posters. In our hall upstairs (outside the room) we have 2 bucket shelves....and in his bedroom we have an old library shelf with his books/lesson books. Once I am all done organizing and supply shopping I will take lots of pics and post it!
Thanks for posting these! We've had everything spread out across the house and it has driven me crazy. My brother is FINALLY moving out of my family room THIS WEEKEND, just in time for me to convert that room into a classroom before school starts again. This is giving me some great ideas. I sooo excited to have a place where everything can stay instead of having to move all our books off the table every time we have to eat.
I just started homeschooling two months ago so we're still figuring out what works for us but we do a lot at the kitchen table, especially crafts. I've designated two drawers and a cupboard to crafts/paper/etc. We also use half of our family room; that seems to be working out well. I wish I had another desk but my DD doesn't mind her kiddie table...yet I might steal some of the great ideas I've seen in some of *your* posts, too! Here's our setup in the family room:
Love the pics. So glad everyone lives in their homes!!! My kids are older and the world is our classroom. I suppose I could post a pic of our computer desk, book shelves, book stacks, TV, musical instraments, garden, timber, pond, pets, home we built from scratch....if I count cosmotology as a class, then I'll post dd11's hair and beauty supplies....
Blessed Life: looks like you've got a good start there!! Brooke : yup with homeschooling, anything can be a school subject
I am lucky enough to have a room for schooling. I already had lots of bulletin board stuff and things like that and I have borrowed a couple school desks from our church so it is set up very much like a school room, not that we always do our owrk there, but we often at least start our day there for our calendar time and stuff. I'll try to take some pictures soon. Right now the room is a terrible mess. In another thread someone described their room looking like a teacher supply store threw up in it, or something along those lines and I have to say that is a pretty good discription of my room
ctmom: it looks so organized!! i need to better organize my space but will do that once we move to our new house. Is that a REDHEAD i see there? Adorable!! I have one of my own =) lol ange.. my dh will come home and i can tell from the look on his face when he looks at the mess.. he doesn't understand that homeschooling gets messy. Sometimes it looks like i just took everything off the shelf and threw it all over the place!
