I didn't have a bad picture either, Tiffany! I know girls/women who have several that you wouldn't necessarily know about. I actually think it is neat that someone would have the guts to do it! As far as hair color, I guess that maybe due to my birthmark that I don't do anything to draw attention to my face. The weird thing with that is I rarely wear makeup to cover it! It is just too much work and I can never entirely cover it. I always said I would never color my hair but now that it is graying I've been tempted to at least put in a rinse. I was very upset when I was called Joyce's Grandmother and I was only 32 when I had her!

Tiffany, I don't think you are freaky either!!!:D
You know, my daughter's tattoos, although I do not care for them, are very beautiful. She paid a lot of money to have them done and the man did a great job. They are really getting fancy compared to the ones they had back in the olden days. When I seen them, I was amazed at how colorful they are.

It's all just a personal choice - piercings (wherever they may be) and tatoos. You can't see my tatoos unless you are looking for them. The one on my ankle people hardly ever notice and the one on my thigh is only visible if I have on a bathing suit. Same goes for my navel ring - I don't ever wear clothes that show my stomach and you can only see it if I am in a swimsuit.

I have seen some beautiful tatoos too. My husband has 3 - none of which are in color though and one is huge but you can't see them unless his shirt is off.

I haven't colored my hair in two years and I'm thinking about just keeping it natural but then I see photos of when I had hilights and I like that too. I was a hairstylist for several years and my hair has been every cut and color possible. I think I'll keep it my natural old mousy brown!!

OK, Tiffany!!! So now I figure you must dress all in black, with tatoos up and down your entire body, long straight black hair, black nails and eye shadow.....LOL!

Seriously, we had a guy in our church who had tattoos up and down both of his ENTIRE arms. He was a great guy and really loved the Lord. He and his family (wife, new baby) left our church a while back.

Well, funny thing last night. My best friend is a "hall supervisor" for the nursery in one of the largest churches in the area. She was talking with another friend at the New Year's party last night, about this guy with these tattoos. I looked at her and said, "I KNOW HIM!!!" Sure enough, it was the same guy!!! Seems he helps out in the nursery. But one lady saw him in there with his tattoos, and refused to put her child in the nursery. She was shocked the church let "someone like THAT!!!" work with the babies!!! Sad thing is, if the lady would take the time to look past his tattoos and get to know him, she'd find one of the nicest, gentlest guys you'd want to meet. My friend says he's absolutely fantastic with the little ones!

    Thats the problem!
enough people don't take the time to look at a person and get to know them.
I also have 2 tattoos and my hubby has several, but that doesn't make us bad people!

We had a lovely couple in our church who recently moved to Ohio. They are bikers and have been pretty much all their lives, even long before they came to Christ. The husband had tattoos all over and I believe the lady did too. After they came to Christ, they changed the negetive behavior that accompanied the lifestyle they where living. They ended up becoming part of Bikers For Jesus and continued to dress the same as before. They came to church on their Harleys, wearing leather vests that had Bikers For Jesus all over them, along with scriptures. They would wear those helmets with the spikes coming out the top. It was so neat to see them arrive to church, especially the wife. If she was driving her Harley, she wore those big black biker boots and had her long braid coming out of her helmet. They were some of the nicest people I have meet. They gave so much of themselves and also taught Children's Church. The children loved them.
I miss them but I know that whatever church they go to know is being blessed by them.

With my little girl, My aunt and my friends tried to talk me into getting her ears pierced when she was a baby. Hubby was sooo against the idea that it wasn't even an issue for us not to. We decided that if she wanted to get her ears pierced she'd have to wait until she's 14. The reason is that hubby would love for the kiddo's to go to the same academy that he went to and they don't allow jewelry except a watch or make up at all. (I really want to teach them all at home through to graduation) On that issue we talked and decided that if the kiddo's wanted they could go to academy but it would be their choice...

Now tattoo's and other piercings kiddo's have to wait until they are 18 and decide. Sounds wierd but i'm ok with tattoos as long as they aren't horrindous or outrageous. I have one myself on my ankle of a heart with 3 roses and am getting more done so it'll be an anklet with symbol for my dad and his birth and death year on it. (I originally got the tattoo when i was 22 as a rebellion thing) I even got my belly button pierced when i was 30 another type of dare thing. My sis in law said that i wouldn't do it because it would hurt too much. So I did anyways and it didn't hurt bad at all. I have a high pain tolerance.... I actually got my ears done when i was 10 after earning the money myself. I got a second hole when i was 18 but I never wear earrings in the 2cd hole and rarely wear any in the 1st hole...

I think tattoos can be beautiful. I have one on my left shoulder of a female fox in front of a full moon and I get compliments on it all the time. I was 29 when I got it and it has very special meaning to me.

I stopped worrying a long time ago what people thought about me having my tattoo. If it changes their view of me, well that's their problem, and between them and God! :)

I personally don't have any tattoos or any piercings, but that's just me. I think it's a shame people look on the outside, and don't see the REAL person inside!

"Man looks on the outward apperance, but the Lord looks on the heart." I am so thankful that God knows the real me inside, so I don't have to worry about what others think of me, and I don't need to judge others either!!!

That is true, Deena, it is sad that sometimes the outward apearance can distract people from the true beautiful person on the inside. My friends have tatoos, Im not into it myself but I know many very Godly women who have chosen to put one on the shouder or ankle. I also have a couple who had them bc days and chose to remove them when they 'got saved'. They were doing that thing of putting away the old and that was part of the old life they wanted to forget because the new life in Christ was so much better... but I think thier tatoos were probably related to the old life not the new. I know someoen whos husband wants to get a big cross over one of his old tatoos to show that Christ took over that life style and he will truely carry his cross with him.
So there are a lot of different people out there with tatoos, and I believe the outside of a person can totally block what we are like on the inside.
Like a 'nerdy' person can dress 'cool' and people think they are cool, we have seen this portrayed in movies all the time.
I almost highjacked thi8s and truned it into a differnt topicl but here I come back to the ear peircing thing...
I chose to wait with my dd because I want it to be her choice not mine. I am glad I hve because she does say quite often that she does not ever want to have her ears peirced.... I often wonder about it when babies get peirced I now they say it does not hurt as much but how do we really know? Plus I wanted her to be of age to take care of it herself, I took care of a little girl once who had her ear ring grown over litterally.
Being her day care teacher/prek-teacher I am the one who noticed it. So each day when she came in she brought with her hidrogen peroxide for me to clean it and turn it after that! Her grand parents ( whom she lived with because her mother had passed on) said she would not let them do the ears only me Lol!
Anyway thats when I started thinking on the when they are old enough to take care of it thing?
So thats my thing, when she is old enough to want to take care of her ears, then she can have them done.
