OK, guys, I'm going to show my ignorance here!!! We watch almost NO commercial TV in our home, and very little PBS. We don't have cable. Does this show air on regular Network? Will I be able to pick it up? What network would I look on? (I AM able to translate networks into specific channels, LOL!)
It's on ABC, which in our area is channel 4. Jackie, this is the ONLY show we watch anymore! That's a good thing, cuz I HATE commercials, so one show a week is PLENTY!!!
Being on a shoot is fun. seeing the final cut is awesome.Being involved with something like this is great.I cant wait to see you.
Deena.. I'll be watching for your famous shot Deena.LOL ..Guess what? I have been meaning to tell ya'll that they came here too. On the SAME road I live on but around the curve.. Can you believe? In this little dinky town I live in. I need to find out when they are going to air...my husband went. The couple run an animal refuge....Yep a lot of folks ran into Ty everwhere. It's not hard, we only have like 4 resturants.. I just drove by and looked at the building going on--because it was nasty raining when they were here.. But it should be airing soon. If ya'll see one about rebuilding a home for a couple that takes care of pets, they are my neighbors!!!
Tina, When were they there? The show is usually on about 2 months after it happens. How cool that they were on your very street! Did you take any pictures or anything?
excited Deena, I bet you are so excited to see the show tonight, we are too.(the kids are too, this is the day they get to sit up a bit longer--- because its such a good family show.)
Ok I am going to show how much we don't watch tv here. Who the heck is Ty? And what type of show is this? Deena have fun watching yourself on tv. I bet you look smashing.
Oh you guys, It's a great show--they help build or repair houses for people who need a LOT of help for one reason or another. It's amazing what they do, and it's good for the kids to watch, because it's about helping and giving to others. As I said before, it's the ONLY show we watch. You should try watching it, and see what you think! It's on most every Sunday night at 8 p.m. Once in awhile they do a 2-hour special, and it starts at 7 p.m. I could see me not being on the show at all, depending on where they made the cuts, so I may NOT see myself on the show. That's okay. It'll be neat to see what made it to the final show!
OH, I forgot to say, Ty is like the Team Leader of the Design Team. He's the loud one with the bullhorn! But he's a really cool guy and all the teenage girls (and some older) just love him!
This may be too late for some of you, but we just found out it's on tonight an hour earlier than usual! Better check your listings!
It was on at 8:00 here, at least that's when I turned it on. I had to turn it off early though to get Jeanne her shower. Were you on there, Deena?? Ty makes me remember the Dell computer kid. Anyone remember him?
It was two hours long. I can't believe they didn't show ANY of the taking in of the furniture! They spent so long taking it in, bringing it out and taking it back in and filming all that! Wow, what a waste all that time was for the poor people carrying things in and out! I WAS in it---the least likely place that I thought. When they showed everybody in the room when Ty came in, I was in a couple of those shots. But that's it. I just think it's interesting how they pick what they put in! That shot of Ty shooting the basketball? He did that over and over, a couple of times he shot it backwards, and made it once. I thought they would've put that shot in there! Oh, and the lady that came to look through the house? She was in there for 30 -40 minutes, and they had those cameras rolling. But they only showed a few seconds of her in the house! I was also hoping that they would have some of the whole group singing Amazing grace while we waited for Ty to come in---that was awesome! Yes, it's definitely interesting what makes the final cut! But, it was a neat story, and I'm glad they got the house, and won't have to worry about mold anymore! They really are a nice family! (He was our men's ministries director while they were at our church, and Burgandy sang a few times for church). So, I doubt any of you saw me, cuz if I didn't know what I look like, I wouldn't have found me! Still, I urge you to join in if they're ever close to your area somewhere!
Deena I thought I saw you behind the baricade, right when they were getting ready to do the reveal, only if your glasses are the kind that gets dark in the sunlight, but I couldn't pick you out in the room they hand the keys over. my husband told me to tell you that you did a good job on the walk way it was very clean----I am very suprized he didn't take a cheap shot about my cleaning but he didn't. It always seams that they are doing the biggest houses in the rain! We were wondering why they didn't pre make some of the pannels on the house like they have for the last few lately, but then again they probably didn't have a way to get them there on the island.
