I thought this would be a fun light hearted thread. TV shows these days aren't what they used to be. What are some of the shows you missed and wish were still aired. Everything can be included from dramas to sitcoms to cartoons. Here are some of the ones I loved. Bugs Bunny Heckel & Jeckel (sp?) H.R. Puff-n-Stuff Land of the Lost Gilligan's Island Cosby Show Fraggle Rock Good Times Bewitched .....more to come but first I want to see some of your answers.
When I was stationed in Germany I got a kick out of seeing Fraggle Rock in German one day! Emergency was one of my all time favs and I taught myself military time watching it which came in handy when I joined the Army! Another favorite was The Walton's.
Moonlighting Dallas Bugaloos Penelope Pitstop I bought "Bewitched" so I could watch it anytime.. 3 2 1 Contact (a show on PBS that was about science) I don't get cable so any old B and W show is great Slam Bang Theater
Oh my gosh the Bugaloos!!!!!!!! I have a collection of Sid and Marty Croft videos and you are making want to watch them right now.
I was planning on getting married to Starsky when I was younger. He was my man! I even wrote a song called, Keep In Touch With Starsky and Hutch. He was the most handsome man I ever seen. I even drew a picture of the two of us in a row boat going down the river. That was until he was dethroned for Paunch(sp? AKA Eric Estrada). Now I thought he was really hot, then I traded him in for his partner, I don't know his TV name but his real name was Larry Wilcox. That was until Bruce Pinhall came into the picture. It wasn't a good thing either because my sisters had it bad for him too. We would all argue as to whose Ken doll was going to be named Bruce. So obviously, my favorite shows were Starsky and Hutch and CHIPS. Patty
CHIPS was one of my favorites also! I loved anything medical or law enforcement. One I remember from real young was Romper Room. It was out of NY State and I remember wishing I could be on the show! It was geared for the kindergarten age. I grew up with Bugs and all the Sat. morning cartoons but my episode I always loved was when Bugs gave the monster a makeover. I don't know why that one always stuck in my head! I always loved Zoom and got a kick out of seeing that it is still going!
Silver Spoons - there was a time when I was going to marry Ricky Schroeder. Dallas Fantasy Island Sanford & Son The Jeffersons Threes Company
I was trying to explain to the kids about 321 contact. I dream of Jeannie show & cartoon I'm not sure, I'll think of it.
Okay great now I have the Bugaloos theme song stuck in my head!!!!! I'll be watching that tonight I can assure you.
Ok...Seinfeld is my all time favorite grown up show! Family Ties The Andy Griffith Show (although I guess they do play reruns) The Brady Bunch!!
I loved that show!!! When I used to work, there was a guy who came in looking for my boss. Boss wasn't in, so this guy and I started talking. I KNOW I kept staring at him because he reminded me of someone, but I didn't know who. All of a sudden it hit me, and I yelped out "You look like Ricky Shroder!" much to my embarassment. He laughed and told me that others had told him that, but he didn't know who it was. I miss The Brady Bunch The Facts of Life Gilligans Island Brotherly Love The Flintstones
Oh yeah, you guys are bringing up all sorts of shows I remember! Except the Bugaloos, I don't remember that at all! Patty, I was going to marry Hutch! David Soul was his name, and he sang. My sister and I went to a concert of his in the Greek Theater in LA! I was sooooooexcited to see him in person, but I couldn't get close enough to him to marry him that evening! Actually, I never did get around to marrying him! He was replaced, later, by Bruce Boxleitner from Scarecrow and Mrs. King. I loved that show because I liked both him and his costar--Kate Jackson! I was at a "Welcoming Ceremony" at the White House, out on the lawn (we knew somebody who knew somebody...), and Bruce Boxleitner was there! Oh my! So was Jane Seymour and George Peppard! Then later, Bruce was doing a tour for a cologne, and he came to a mall near us. I went to see him, and showed him the pictures, and we talked about it for a little while! That was so cool! But I ended up not marrying him either! I married the best guy in the world anyway, so I'm very happy! I loved Chips and Emergency too! How about Speed Racer? (before it got really evil) and Felix the Cat. I can still sing that theme song!
