Wow, went out today and couldn't believe the gas prices down here. $2.37 a gallon. Need to start watching and doing everything all at once.
Heard this afternoon on news that by summer it will be up to $3.00 per gallon wow. There goes the food too.

    Something Funny !!!!!

Very windy down here today but nothing new down here we get lots of wind and no rain. Haven't had rain in 6 months. Any way we were in a store today and I was looking at radios and they cut in say high winds today. I turned to my dd and said hmmm what was there first clue.
There was man beside me, which I didn't know at the time he laughed and laughed so hard he said excuse me and went to the bathroom. He came back and said that was so funny. I am sure glad I made his day. Thought I would try and make you all have a wonderful day too. LOL

Gas here is $2.49/gal. It sure makes it hard. My hubby covers 4 counties and drives lots every day. I sure hope it doesn't reach $3.00 like it did after Katrina. :(

Was it Kris that said they only put it up so high so that we would get use to paying $2/gal? It was going up BEFORE Katrina; they just used that as an excuse to drive it higher. One good thing about DH having to change schools next year. He COULD get at a school MUCH closer to home! There's one school in particular that, if he were to go to, we could get by with JUST ONE CAR!!! Now THAT would be a real blessing!!!

Its $2.47 today, just last week it was $2.16. Seems to be going up everyday. It costs a fortune to fill my 15 passenger van!!

It's $2.47 here. Thankfully, we have gas rewards at Kroger. That gives us .30 off a gallon.

Faythe had a prescription filled last week for what we thought was Pink Eye. So we have a dollar-a-gallon credit for the next time we get gas at Giant Eagle!!! We're waiting until the tank gets REAL LOW! But here it is the first day of spring, and they're predicting a major storm to hit sometime tonight. They say the possibility 4-8 inches of snow!!! The schools haven't had a Snow Day yet, and I think DH is hoping it will cancel things for him tomorrow. Anyway, we might fill up the tank today before it hits.

We have the Kroger rewards, too.The problem is, the nearest Kroger with a gas station is an hour away. So... it doesn't help us! Being in a small town, we just have to pay what it is, unless we are traveling.

I heard the same thing about raising prices so we would get used to paying $2 gal. My dad works for Exxon. He says it'll never be under $2 again. :(

We're planning our vacation to the beach, and gas is going to be double what was the last time we went... makes traveling hard!

I just don't drive much anymore.. Church and Season's school are close enough to walk, so is the grocery store. When my $20 a month gas budget runs out we are done for the month :(

on the up side, We are getting more excercise!

Yikes, we could never get by with a $20 a month gas budget! These days, with prices this high, we'd never get to go ANYwhere! We don't live close enough to things to walk, so we'd just have to stay home and not do piano or stringed instrument lessons, or get groceries, or go to the library, etc! With prices the way they are, $20 is about half a tank for our van!

wow I couldn't go on $20.00 dollars a month either. we would have to drop out of all the extra things the girls are in. that is wonderful Syele that u can do that. wish I had the will power to do it. Maybe when it gets up to $3.00 dollars a gallon I will think twice about what we do and what the girls are in.

Yeah I couldn't do it if I didn't live right in the middle of everything and work at home. Sami's Gymnastics is the farthest from my house at a Whopping 11 blocks. Church is close about 8 blocks, the used bookstore 5 blocks (we use instead of the library, books are under $1 most of the time and I don't have to give them back.), the park is across the street, I sometimes drive the 4 blocks to the grocery store to save carrying bags home but it dosn't take much gas to be so close. I pick Season up about 6 blocks from my house and her mom loves that she gets more exercise.

The $20 gets us to the HS group 2 times a month. and occasionly an outing for a special treat.

$270!!! WOW!!! That is VERY extreme!!! :D !!!

Seriously, ours is in the $2.50's here. And I'm not noticing the protest near like we did last year. Probably because we're "use" to it being about $2.20 or 2.30, and it doesn't seem as big a jump. Wanna bet it will be over $3 next year? I'm seriously praying that Carl's new job will be closer to home!

Our gas is running around $2.45. We are having to drive about 50 miles twice a week for Vicki's allergy shots and occupational therapy. I put $67.00 in my jeep for two weeks. I also am having to drive 40 miles to see her counselor every other Wednesday. That is crazy. I can't afford it. That is not even going to the grocery store or chores that need to be done. I try to make the best of doing things when I am out.

One day earlier this week I had to go out for a little bit...the gas was $2.75. That evening I went to pick up my dd from dance and it was $2.68. All in the same day! They just like to mess with us! I am always playing the "should I fill up now?" game!! Sometimes I win, sometimes I don't!

We just came back from the library, and it was $2.79, the most I've seen for some time. That was at two different places.

3 weeks ago we got it for $2.09. We meant to get it earlier, but ran out of time. The price earlier in the day when we drove by was $2.15, so I won that one! :) My 14-yo thought that was crazy to change that much in one day!
