Becky, your something else. This is why I really like you. When I first joined this forum, your posts stood out and made me smile.
Honestly though, I do not think everybody is suspect, but after taking these college classes and having my face plastered in books with dead people, I have become very cautious.
Hopefully, as Deena said, it will work out and both families will be blessed.
    God bless!!

OK, I agree that the situation is a little strange! God gave us women's intuition for a reason. If you don't get a peace about accepting the curriculum, then do not accept it. If you do decide to take it, please err on the side of caution and make it a public exchange. Another suggestion...take your hubby with you if at all possible. If not, find someone else to go with you. Like I said before, these folks should not be offended if they are honest. They will realize that you are just protecting your family.

Becky, the more I thought of this, the more I laughed.

Every Thursday is cleaning day at church. Well, a few months ago as I was taking out the trash I noticed an abandoned car in the back parking lot. I didn't think much of it until I realized it was parked there for a few weeks. Well, my over active mind kicked in and I started the questioning process and asked everybody in the church for info and decided to call the police. I went out to look at it with others and they said, "Oh, I opened the door and looked for identification." Someone else said, "I was leaning against it last Sunday, talking to blank. You know it's been there a lot longer then you think."
I was dumb founded and all I could say was, "Do you realize you could have ruined of evidence. Maybe you left your fingerprints on the car and if it was involved in a crime you maybe questioned."
In my mind it was probably used for a murder and dumped in the back of the church. After we found out it was stolen and then dumped.
So you are most likely correct in your estimation that everybody is suspect after all.:D :D

Okay! I'll fill you all in.
I might have posted it before but I am going to college to get my degree in Administation of Justice with a specialty in Forensic Sciences. My long term plan, God willing, is to become a Forensic Pathologist or Forensic Entomologist but this is at least 16years away. For one it is a long course of study but also I do not want to work until Em's is grown-up. I usually go at night but sometimes I have to go in the day. Before I became pregnant with Em's I signed up with the CHP and INS but decided that as a mom it was my responsiblity to come home to my daughter alive or at least in one peace so I changed things a bit and take the long road.:D

    God bless!!

Now see, I was thinking the same thing. I felt like I was continually trying to talk woman to woman, but he had to be in charge.

Of course, upon hearing this, my DH said, that of course, there will be no "Me" picking something up.. he wants them to bring it to his work. But I like the store idea better. But no. It woul dnot be me going alone, or with the kids. Hubby would be inthere somewhere, for sure!

(Speaking of the wife... Have you ever seen the space race movie "The Right Stuff"? John Glen's wife was disliked by many of the women, because she was "Stand-off-ish and didn't interact with the other women . . . in a time when women talked mostly just to other women.... Turns out, she had a terrible stutter..... )

So I temper my judgment, based on what I don't know (Which could fill a stadium).

But we will pray on it and decide tomorrow, and my DH will be with me, if we decide to get this. I am all for it, of course! I am just leary of any strings hidden, or otherwise.....

P.S. Is anyone else on this program? (Alpha Omega) I have never seen it.

Forensic Entomologist- isn't that where you try and determine how long a body has been dead by looking at the bugs on it?

Yikes- that sounds horrible. I'll delete it if it bothers anyone.

Lol. If it 'bugs' anyone.. Lol.

I used the Lifepacs for Math and Science my first year hs'ing. If it's the Lifepacs, each subject will contain 10 small workbooks. There are several ladies here who use them, so I'm sure they can give you more information. I considered them this year, but with 3 kids, it would have gotten really expensive. I didn't have anyone to buy it for me....ROFL....

    Yes, you are correct Becky.

Jen, I use Alpha Omega cursive for Em's right now. I have not used anything else though. That's not true. I forgot I also use the Thomas Kinkade art curriculum and really like it.

I'm glad your husband will be with you.:D

And thanks Deena and Pam for the encouragement.

    Patty

    Hey Jen,

Unless you get the total green light that this is all very legit., maybe you SHOULD head somewhere but home after picking this up, so they can't follow you there. I know, I know, I was okay with it. But some of the other posters did make good points. So I'm just saying if you still feel weird about it, that's an option...

    Oh! I've done that before..

I used to work in radio. To be short with this.. We get creeps... So you get used to watching your back.

I have, on more than a thousand occations, made nonsensical turns, to get where I am going, just to see, if anyone does the same. I am also non too shy to drive where cars are not supposed to be, just to draw attention to myself. (Cops)
