I believe you guys have hijacked my thread! any way maybe it will have to do with next weeks mission. Find out on Monday
Mission #3 Ok, Gals. take out the cookie sheets and baking pans, clean out the cabinet or drawer they are in. Organize them by shape or need. Make a list if you need any new ones for the holiday baking (put it on the fridge to remind you or DH to check off when you replace them). Do you need some extra insentive to bake your favorite yummy treat! The pan is already out!!
Lol. This is a great one! I'm happy to say that I do this on a regular basis. I use my pans so much for work that I have to keep them neat and organized. I just did it again on Friday. Although my "drawer" is actually an entire wall unit .
Last week I threw out my two "air" cookie sheets. They baked wonderful cookies and rolls, but they had gotten so rusty that they weren't fun to use anymore. Not having a suitable place for such things, I stack cookie sheets in the space between the oven and the cabinet. I'll take your challenge and clean out a mini-closet and look for a space in there for them. Thanks!
AMY...Keep these challenges coming!!! I feel a whole new kitchen emerging! And I totally needed the inspiration to clean out all my baking things and getting rid of junk pans.
Amy, I may miss your next "mission." I'll be away from a computer for a little over a week, but I'll check back as soon as I can and try to catch up.
I'm just now checking in here. Please keep these missions coming Amy! My pans are already neatly stacked according to size but the drawer certianly hasn't been cleaned in a while. It is 10pm here and I'm tired but am waiting up for dh to get home from work so I may as well do it now!
I just found this thread. I'll try to do the next mission, but really don't need to do the first three. I actually use everything in my kitchen drawers, my printer is a scanner/printer/copier so nothing gets piled on it, I regularly clean out my cabinets & drawers (pull everything out & wash cabinets & drawers), and I go through my pens & pencils about once every 1 or 2 months. I'm not really that organized, I just need something to do at 2am when my insomnia is keeping me up. Plus, I'm kind of picky about certain things & a bit of a perfectionist.
New Mission This week's mission: clean out the crumbs in the toaster and clean under the bread maker. Lets give them a good wipe down too. (don't forget to unplug them.) If you don't think you don't need to do either check back next week...... we'll all be coming to your house for toast and tea! PS: lets toss out any kind of jams or preserves that are out dated--- check the fridge, you know there is that jar in the way back behind the pickles~
Amy, LOL sorry for laughing but I did both of mine this morning before I put them away in the cupboard. and yes they need cleaning...
Keep your toaster UNPLUGGED!!! Firemen will tell you that so many fires are started with plugged in toasters!!! Got to go and clean out my toaster
Ok, before the week gets ahead of us, lets discuss the new mission of the week: Clean the door of the fridge. The inside!!--- who has the most outdated pemento stuffed olives??
Ah-ohhh, that could be me!!! Ohhhh mannnnn, cleeeeaaannn the fridge door? Eeeuuuuwwww! That's one job I don't like at all! Okay, deep breath in....and out.....Okay, I'll go try that right now before I lose my courage!!!
No olives in my fridge. In fact, there's very little food in my fridge. We're trying to get rid of most of it before we move next week. I actually threw away all the outdated door contents this morning!
I try to clean the inside of my fridge every Sunday right before I go grocery shopping. I get rid of any old food items and wipe it down. However I didn't this weekend because I was out of town. Oops. Going to do that now!
That would not be me!! I love Spanish Olives. I try not to buy them to often because of all the salt. When I do, they never last. Actually, cleaning the door of the fridge is a great mission for me. I clean the shelves but never the door. It is an area that I never bother looking at. Thanks for the reminder. Patty
