post cards? Interested?

I haven't been on here for a few days. I've been fighting a migraine since Sunday night, & have been avoiding the computer as much as possible. I've recieved 3 postcards so far. I just bought some last night, so I'll be sending them today. Sorry it took so long to get them out.

 

Brandi, hope you are feeling better, if anyone wants a postcard let me know...

 

I have sent out all the post cards that I received addresses for. Enjoy, waiting by the mailbox for the ones we will be receiving. "Elijah, get back in here, stay away from the mailbox, get busy with school". lol Does your kids stand by the mailbox waiting for their postcards?

 

Got back from our trip Sunday night. It was CRAZY!! Too short of a trip for the distance so I am just now recooperating. I'll get out all the post cards in the next couple of days. I've got most of them addressed. So as soon as I can get out the door to the post office they'll be on their way.

We are getting them tooo, I so need to stop at walmart and pick some up today while we are out. But I have a funny story to tell you all.

At work the other secretary is Melinda, well since Im Melissa, they always mess it up and call me her name..I usually say "I'll call Melinda and ask her" if they want something. Well the other day I got a postcard and what did it say "Melinda and Madison" I thought OMG it follows me home!!! I had to copy the PC and take it to work to show them. the sender will remain nameless, its no big deal just WAY too funny!!!!

 

AussieMum, I know that is way fast. It takes a letter coming from Wyo. to Ark. 3 or more days sometimes. I will never understands the secrets of the postal system. LOL

 

When you send a post card to AussieMum, do you use a regular post card stamp?

 

I did when I took to the post office they told me it was fine? I hope it gets there... they said you put the same stamp on as you would on any post card... I put a 41 cent thats all I had... they told it was more but I wanted to be safe..

Yes. It turns out that postcards are minimum postage, so for me to anywhere in the north american continent that is $AU1.25 - really very good I thought

Our stamps are 26cent stamps for Post cards here, how does that compare with Aussie dollars?
Just curious about exchange amounts etc>
not bad, the card was a quarter and the stamp was a bit more, I think I can send a couple more if anyone else out there other than the three who PMed me, want California post cards?

Ohio G'ma your card came today!!!! Thanks! I go next Wednesday to get mine from Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site and will be sending them out by next Friday. Anyone else want one from Texas?

Table Rock is a beautiful mountain. You can hike it. They have a camp ground. It is really neat. I am glad you got your card.

 

To send my post card to Aussie Mom it was 90 cents. I thought that was cool. Hope you get it soom.

We haven't received any yet.....

Course we haven't sent ours out yet---today they are going out.

 

I just checked the mail & we got 5 more today! That makes 8 total so far. Ours didn't go out until yesterday. I was planning to send them Wednesday, but my migraine kept me from going to the post office that day.
