Please pray for my husband, he has been up since 4am and started plowing snow at 5am. The city that he works for does not have different shifts. He has to stay out until all the roads are clear. The forecast is for 4-8 more inches tonight and an additional 2-4 inches tomorrow. This means that he will not be getting much sleep. He might be able to get a couple hours tonight when the traffic is not heavy, but that is not very much to go on if the snow continues. I worry for his safety and the other snow plow drivers. If you think about all the snow plow drivers, please pray for their safety. Sometimes people don't realize how tired, hungry and nerve racking plowing snow can be.
I just checked the weather and they have upgraded it to Blizzard conditions and 8-12 more inches with winds up to 30 mph.
Gma, We will be praying for your dh and the other snowplow drivers!!! I will also pray for peace for you!
Thanks Deena. They just called a snow emergency, no cars are to be on the roads unless it's an emergency. Lots of businesses have let their employee go home early. Prayerfully, the people will listen and stay home. Less traffic for the snow plow drivers.
Sending prayers! Its been snowing and blowing here all day. Schools closed and other places. A Big thank you to your hubby for helping make things safe. I will be thinking of him and all the other drivers!!
We don't get much snow here and to be honest, I never thought about what a hard job a snowplow driver has. I will be praying for your husband and all the others who have to be out in the bad weather. Beth
We are having the same weather here. We have already gotten about a foot of snow and they are saying still another 5 + inches to come tonight. We had to close all our stores and hubby has been out all day working on snow removal at each store. Keeping your dh and the snow removal team in my prayers!
Ohio, we hit several snow drifts driving through the country this morning, & I did say just a sentence prayer for all the workers who have to endure this type of weather on the job. Now, I specifically added your husband.
Oh, thank you....that is sweet to think of him. I hope you can have some peace tonight as he is out. Does he ever call to check in with you? I know that would help me feel better throughout the night.
Prayers here! We are under a tornado watch! We are in the 60's and bracing for t-storms within the next hour. The girls are waiting for me to play a game and I told them let me check in before I have to shut the computer off. I can't get over the amount of snow coming out of these storms. I grew up in upstate NY but I don't remember anything of this magnitude. Everyone stay safe!
My husband does call in occassionally. I talked with him about 5:00 and he got to eat a quick sandwich and then back out again. He said he has an extra person in his cab so they can help watch the road too. That helps. It is freezing pellets right now. That means 12 inches of snow, freezing pellets and then more snow on top. Ugh!!! Praying for all of you effected by this storm and those of you in the south with the tornado weather.
ditto Deena and Ohio Grandma! Praing God's hand of protection on everyone affected by all of these storms...
Well, I am happy to lend my prayers. My dh is a FEDEX driver...he actually was told to come back to the station because it was so bad...level 3 emergency. I will pray for your dh and for everyone affected by the weather as well! My dh is wondering what work will bring tomorrow! He said he saw so many accidents on the way home...yikes!
That's right, Ava...I forgot you are in the Toledo area. I just talked to my sister tonight (she lives in Perrysburg) and she said the drifts are so high out their back door that they can only come in and out the front (which never gets used- so is very strange for them). Their dog is hating life right now!! Be safe! And we'll add your hubby to the list, too!
Ava, You dh is in need of prayer to during these times. Not just during a heavy snow storm, but even when there is little snow on the streets. My dh is called out when the streets are slippery, sometimes I look outside and see hardly anything on the streets and he goes out. The police are the ones that make the call, so they know when the streets are slippery. All of our husbands need prayers when they start out for their jobs, the streets are so conjested anything can happen. Prayers going up for husbands.
Ava....I think my nephew works for fedex, too! I just thought of that. He is not a driver, though. I am not sure what he does. He is the one I asked for prayer for not too long ago for an interview he was having with the Ohio State Patrol.
