Sloan, I thought of you yesterday as I sat in the 50+ sun weeding around my daffidolls (sp?) and knowing that today we both have the chance of snow.... Maybe I still have time to pack my bags and run away to Tahiti today before it starts?
I want to go somewhere warm too!!! It was 14 degrees at 7 this morning. The snow is staying on the ground. I am ready to dig in the dirt and plant the garden!!!
Now they are saying 6 inches of snow by Friday and more to come. It is snowing right now. Dh is suppose to go out tonight to salt for the city. Yes, he is allowed to do that again. We are suppose to have a date night on Friday evening, but with this snow coming, no chance. I will go myself since we already have a sitter. I hate snow, ready to move to Florida!!!
Sloan - We must live close to each other...snow in our yard since Dec. 18...and now, it's snowing again! We usually get one a year enough to sled, but it's gone the next week.
Ohio mom ~ Don't move to Florida...WAY too hot and humid in the summer. I grew up there and don't ever want to go back.
We only got a few snowflakes and a little sleet yesterday and then it all stopped. I was so glad to see it stop. Come on Spring!
Ok now we are in a winter storm advisory, they are saying 6-12. I guess you all in PA are suppose to get even more than that!!! I can't stand this snow. My dh wants to move to Melbourne, Florida for the winter and then back to Ohio for the summer. That might work. I just don't want anymore snow this year!!! My dd asks everyday, "when is spring?" or "when is summer?" She wants to play in the pool so bad
Well, central Ohio (or Ohio in general? Not sure which!) may well break the record for the snowiest February! We're about an inch short right now, but it's still coming down!
For all those with extra snow to spare, if you'd like to box it all up and ship it to my home I'll happily accept donations of excess snow! My neighbors might not like it, but me and my children will have a very fun snow day in Arizona!
I am in upstate sc about 20 mins from NC line and it is so windy here and cold. Our weather is like you said not typical for SC in almost March. I am ready for spring too.
I got the Weekly Specials from the local farm market last week. They had included: SNOW!!! FREE!!! Must load and haul yourself! Limited Time Special LOL! Someone had a sense of humor!!!
Hubby saw something like free snow on Craigs list and someone else had turned the person in for the post instead of laughing at it like you should.
Had "dandruff" flurries weds... Turned into BIG fat flakes.... covered everything in 20 minutes... stopped snowing... snow melted All of this in a 40 minute period. THIS is the kind of snow I can handle. Frankly, I'm sick of the cold. I just want warm spring days to come...flowers blooming, birds chirping and kids laughing and running around in the yard.... SIGH
I also want my windows and doors open and fresh air all through the house. I just heard the weatherman say we are supposed to get more white stuff next week.
We had another 3 inches or more last night. Dh and I went on a "date". We got half way through our dinner and the phone rang. Boss said come on in. Dh finished eating, I dropped him off at 6:00pm and picked him back up at 10:30am. He is now sleeping and looks like we have another 3 coming tonight. Blah!!! I want summer to come - by passing spring, we always get another big snow in the spring. Sorry to complain, at least we are not in Chili!!!
