Hello! I am going to try to keep this really organized but as we all know there are always some sort of glitches in things. This is the not secret pal gift giving for Christmas thing! I do not want to keep anyone who does not celebrate the holiday out so if you donot do Christmas feel free to sign up anyway! It is always fun to give and recieve! - Okay lets start with Rules ( :lol: ) 1. Each gift must be approximtely a 5 $ gift. That means give or take a dollar. These days we can get a lot for that! Surprisingly so! Because everyone wants to put on a sale! Also we can make gifts for people that are approximately that costly to make! We want to keep the item light as well. Someone suggested putting it in a paper bag, walmart has lunch bag style for fifty cents, colors and everything or you could decorate your own actual lunch bag. This is to keep the cost down for wrapping as well as the weight for mailing. ** Just remember when you mail priority is actually cheapter because you can get a flat rate then the weight is not counted against y ou! ( hubby works at a post office) 2. Each person will be kept annonymous ( sp?) until the gift is recieved. Then we will share in another thread what we got! If you have a camera you could catch a picture and put it on that one too! 3. No one will share other peoples addresses! Okay, Now what we will need to do is, PM TeacherMom and tell me you want to join and your addy. I will wait a whole week to gather this list... so pray about it , think about it but don't wait too long! Next weekend or next monday ( 10/9) I will send Pms to the persons to let them know who they got, etc. That is my part! Your part, and partly my part too, is on this thread we will need to write the following out..... Okay this is long so we can quote the last part and answer them if we want? This should get us started .. remember we have a week to think on this, but Next Monday I will close the list. ( * in the event we have an odd number I will make one final plea though so we are all having fun!) ***!~ Just to inform you all, we will want to have these mailed out by November 17th, that way we can beat the Christmas Shopping/package rush- I would recomend trying to have them out by a sooner date if possible but the last date is the 17th. My origonal plan is to have the four weeks of October working on this. We sign up, first week, get names second week, shop for a couple weeks and then mail it out. (If you are like me you may think that is a long way from Christmas, but I will be doing Christmas early set upa nd all because of my surgery.)

He just likes '50's era decor. *We decorate for Hannaka & Christmas but don't do the Santa part. *We like home-made ornaments, home-made pot-holders, home-made bread, home-made about anything. *We enjoy scrapbooking, but aren't pro at it. *We like books, but not occultic nor much fantasy--historical fiction, creation science, Christian biographies, & titles from Goodwill. Sure! You could give us a used book! *I like looking for sugar-free, unrefined, "whole-food" recipes. *Dd & I like making quilts from vintage handkerchiefs. *I like old hymn books as well as modern praise songbooks. *Anything country. This is fun!

I'll try! *Our kitchen really doesn't have a theme but is dark brown paneling so anything goes color wise. *We decorate for Christmas both store bought and handmade. *I think an ornament that reflects something of the other persons personality would be really neat. *I want to learn how to scrapbook. *I like to cross stitch and crochet. *My favorite color is purple. *Chocolate of course! *I listen to almost any music as long as it's not too wild. *I like teddy bears. *Also, I like candles and what I call pretty smelly stuff ie. bath beads. First, who you are -- on this thread!!! I'm Carla. a) What colors are your kitchen or bath? Well my kitchen dosn't really have a theme, unless you count clear tuppreware! The bathroom is decorated with rubber duckies. b) What is your favorite, food, color, snack, ornament type, etc. My Favorite colors are dark green and Burgandy, I love chocolate for a snack, ornaments I have all kinds! c) What is your favorite scripture ( if you have one) I can't think of a favorite atm. d) What kind of music do you like? Country, Contemprary Christian (And our Christian radio station is gone , Oldies, and silly stuff (Think Weird Al and Ray Stevens) e) What do you not want to get! Coffee... I don't drink it. Well that or fruitcake... f) Do you decorate for Christmas? I go nuts! Our house becomes a veritable winter wonderland. I have a little mini-Christmas village (Smaller than the typical ones) and a tree and fake snow and all sorts of other stuff. I haven't ever decorated outside though unless you count wrapping the door in wrapping paper and putting a big bow on it. e) anything else you think may be helpful? I love the smell of Strawberries.
My Turn! (Yes, I decided to join in after all) Deena ~My overall colors are Hunter Green, Burgandy and dark or slate blue. I have a lighthouse theme in my kitchen and downstairs bathroom ~Favorite colors are above. I love brownies, Reese's peanut butter cups, strawberries, Mexican, Chinese and Thai food. I love snowman ornaments! ~My favorite scripture is John 14:27 ~I like hymns and mellower Praise Songs ~I don't need coffee (I quit! Yay!) or fruitcake (yecccch!) either! Or anything olive green in color. We don't "do" Santa for decorations. Oh and I don't wear jewelry, and we don't need anymore candy canes! Sheesh, I sound picky! I don't mean to be!!! ~I decorate with snowmen, mostly. I use hunter green, blue and burgandy (not red) as decorating colors. I have a mini Christmas village and a manger scene. ~My decorating is kind of country/old fashioned style.
Ok Everyone is mentioning Santa.. I thought I'd add in.. we read stories of Saint Nicholas and pretend Saint Nicholas brought some of the presants. So, I usually stick with the old fashioned St. Nick Pics instead of the trendy fat Coca-cola Santa Claus.

My bathroom is a mix of soft pink, green, it is like a woodsy garden. b) What is your favorite, food, color, snack, ornament type, etc. -My favorite food is Banana Cheese (aka String Cheese). My favorite color is shades of sage greens and dark greens as well as purple and reds. I like pretty victorian, country type of ornaments, sort of a country classic look, more classic then country. c) What is your favorite scripture ( if you have one) -All scripture on Salvation are my favorite. d) What kind of music do you like? -I listen to classical, gospel, worship. e) What do you not want to get! -I do not want to get any books that are horror stories. f) Do you decorate for Christmas? -I love to decorate for Christmas. Every year we transform our home. I like to decorate with antique looking doilies, roses, poinsettias, crimson and white colors. e) anything else you think may be helpful? -I love reading, crafts and gardening. My house is kind of like the inside of Mrs. Olsen's house on Little House On The Praire. I collect doilies. I often go to The Salvation Army to find books and doilies. Beth here, sloan127 My kitchen is dark green and white My favorite color is red, favorite snack is any of the 100 calorie packs except peanut butter cookies, I like about any ornaments and we usually have gold and red on the tree. My favorite scripture is Joshua 24:15 I like all types of music I don't care for precious moments things, coffee, or anything scented due to allergies in our house I do decorate for the holidays I like small picture frames and albums, stickers for scrapbooks, crafts, unusual note pads or sticky notes, I like hand made things, I like socks and about anything! I'm Becky. My kitchen is done up in chickens. My bathroom is usually done up in toothpaste splatters and empty t.p. rolls that didn't work out as someone's rim shot. LOL. My favorite colors are red or purple. My favorite scripture is one in the Psalms about God healing our diseases. I forget the exact chapter and verse. My favorite music is 80's hair band stuff, especially Van Halen. Instead of saying what I don't want, I'd like to replace it with a prayer request. Pray for me that I do right by Jeannie and her education. My husband does the decorating here. Whoever gets my name- don't go crazy with this, because it will be an honor to me just that you took the time to choose something for me.

I am Hoosier Mama...aka...Leslie Amd I will be VERY boring! My house is primarily in earthtones (not 70" browns and oranges!) Tan's, creams, sage green and burgundy...and some black and browns. I love candles of all kinds, lotions, and fun fashion jewlery. We decorate for christmas...I love any kind of ornament or decoration. I like neat piture frames of any size. Oh...I love soft, fuzzy socks, too! I am on a diet, but like hot tea....anything with cinnamon is my favorite. I do not like coffee. I am a diet pepsi drinker. I am pretty easy to please...and would love anything you pick out for me. I more exctied about being involved in this fun exchange than what anyone would get for me! I don't have a favorite scripture...but love anything with scripture on it!
