Beth, I think that would be fine with everyone it's really up to u. I am so excited too, I have started mine already can't wait to get if off. So, When is everyone going to send the boxes? I see we don't have to send them till Nov. 17, 2006 but I don't know if I can wait that long.
This is totally up to Teachermom, but I would think that a 10 day or 2 week shipping time frame would be good so that the first person and the last person to recieve won't be that far between. Especially if we share what we get, and from whom it won't take long for the last people to realize who their person is. (thats why the 10 days would be the best I think but like I said TM has to decide that).
Ok Amy I understand don't get upset with me I was just wondering it's fine with me to have them send out by Nov. 17 just asking a silly question I guess. SORRRRRY
A way to include the kids to those whom we are sending to would be to include something like a candy cane or packet of hot chocolate or a few stickers, even a printed picture to color. But in the past I've found that my kids are just happy to watch me open my swap boxes to see whats in there! And if you do a secret sister thing at church or something simular they will probablly understand.
Kris, I didn't get upset, I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers or step on anyones toes. I'm not the hostess of this Christmas club exchange either so I probably shouldn't have said anything. I took it that you were just showing your enthusiasim for this gift exchange but I figured some one would be wondering seriously about shipping.
Ok Amy! That is a good idea about sending alittle something for the kids think I will do that for mine.
Do we all know the ages of peoples kids, if we include something for them? Should we write that so people know, or not?
Good idea Deena? That way if they want to put alittle something in there for them and if they can choc, or just some kinds of candy. My girls are 13 and 11. Love choc. and any kind of candy.
Okay, my boys are 15 and 13, and my dd is 9. The younger two like sweets, the oldest is more into softer things like choc. chip cookies or something.
My dd actually wanted to help me make something for my Christmas friend! She's interested in learning about my friend, so that we can send something "just right for her!" (She didn't think my stamping looked professional enough. She was probably right!) Anyway, we had a G-R-E-A-T time in her room with all her scrapbooking things out last night. A memory I will cherish!
My kids as of the end of the month: 6, 7, 9, 9 (every one but the 7 yo has a birthday this mo.) incase any one hasn't seen this Alenka's printables have some fun things to print like hot chocolate covers and other things: http://alenkasprintables.com/free_printables.shtml
That is a great idea, my kids are same age as deenas, btw As for when to send, I think wait at least till November 1st? Thats my anniversary btw! heeh!
HEy I had an idea too, if anyone has any craft links for how to make things, that may help some folks out would be a cool idea to have them posted here?
