I'll be sending mine out next friday(10th) sorry I dont get paid till then so I have to wait..this is alot of fun!

Well, our family is back from a great week at a homeschool camp in Colorado, to which I took my Christmas pal's gift. I had read about some gifts being sent this week & diligently counted the days, so that mine would arrive at its destination about mid-week or on thursday. As we were driving through a town, I spied a P.O. & asked my dh if we could stop so I could mail it. This is where it gets funny. Being the gentleman that he is, he offered to run it in. Being so thoughtful & kind, when he returned to the van, he said, "Hon, I know how much your Homeschool Spot friends mean to you, so I mailed your gift "priority mail." The postmaster said it might take four days or so to get there by regular mail. This way it may be there on Monday!" So, if my Christmas pal wants to wait several days to acknowledge the package, that's fine. 'Sure hope the early timing doesn't stress any one! Teacher Mom, 'glad to hear your weekend was awesome!

Istill ahve a couple little things to add to mine, with the teaching I was doing this weekend my mind had to be focused on that for the past two weeks since I was given a topic to speak on, so now I get to focus more on my Pal's gift box! Wee! I am sooo excited!
The stuff for mine is ready, as I said earlier, I just have to find a box to put it in. Tomorrow may be the day, since that's when others said they were sending theirs.
I'm not sure when I'll get mine out! I still adding and my main problem has been transportation. My hubby had to ride on a spare today to go buy 4 used tires from the junk yard. Hopefully nlt next Wed. I'll have mine out. Jennifer

This is exciting watching and reading how everyone is getting thier gifts together! I love it when its a challenge! My problem has been waiting for something to get in the store, I knew what I wanted but it had not come in yet! In the mean time I have found a few other cool things... one thing I watned I could not find.... so I replaced it, and btw I am STILL under my budget for it! God is so good! Sally and Clearance and just plain great prices on things are so cool!
I loved doing my box. I mailed it yesterday. It really got me in the holiday mood. I can't wait to hear that they got it! The mailman asked me if I was mailing an Operation Christmas Child shoebox?! You don't mail those. At least our church doesn't. Beth
Thanks for reminding me of those boxes. My kids did 5 last year and we couldn't find anywhere to take them. I need to look around this year. They are still packed upstairs.
Our MOPs did the OCC boxes. Maybe you can look for a MOPs group in your area and call and see if you can add your boxes to theirs. We have one we're doing this year. It now costs $7 "donation" to send each box. My kids begged to do it, and said they would buy the stuff inside if I would pay the $7, so we agreed. I still need to find a place to take it once we get it ready. I'm calling our old MOPs place.
