yeah if anyone is interested in doing Barefoot, sign up under 2littleboys....she knows what she is doing and has done this before. I'm in the middle of my own business and only thinking of selling some books to support that business. I'm not a team leader...I have too many diversions. :) let her get you started. :) Chances are if you signed up under me I'd say, "I don't know" a lot or hardly have time to answer you. lol. :)

 I'm no expert, but the three ladies who are mentoring me ARE experts, so I DO have a bit of an advantage that most of the company doesn't have (just a coincidence, actually). They've collectively been with the company about 15 years.

This is something I will look at more closely. Seems if you are selling online only you would have to have a way to build traffic to your site to make any money at it. Are there methods in place to do that?

I only know one person (not that there aren't more... I don't know) who has successfully made this into an online business. You really have to know a lot about SEO, blogging, facebooking, and things like that to make it work. She was homeschooled her whole life and is homeschooling her children. She lives in Ft. Worth. If you're interested, I can get you in touch with her and you can join her team.

Let me get back to you after I think about this. I am currently trying to figure out how to set up an online store site to sell the character hats I make. I posted pics of some a while back, since then I have been making new ones and building inventory. I am blessed with friends that have given me a bunch of yarn and will post pics at some point tomorrow. If I bog down with this I will need to figure out another way to earn money. So it might be a little while before I need to look into the books. Really I am betting on myself right now and thinking I won't need to sell books. Positive thinking, right?!!

I checked it out in my state I can sell books out of my car as long as I am able to prove that I don't make more than 20,000 a year! WOW! I would love to make that much! lol!
SO I am exempt at this point.

I work for liveops. It's taking orders for infomercials over the phone. I work nights from around 9 to 1 or 2. I make at least 600 every two weeks more if call volume is good. I have a few friend who work liveops and make 2-3 thousand a month. I just can't work it full time because of the kids.

I'm also contracted to Arise but haven't work a client yet. Not sure that I will. I know lots of people who make great money with them but I can't get past paying for training.

The websites I used when starting was workplacelikehome dot com and wahm dot com. I like the first one the best. Good luck. I'm looking at finding something else that I don't have to be on the phone so I can work while the kids are awake. But haven't found anything yet.

Get a business page on both facebook and on etsy and then put links back and forth to both. It costs nothing for facebook and VERY little for etsy. Check it out :)

I do alterations & home decor sewing. Don't make a whole lot, but enough for some entertainment money. I have lots of flexibility. Which is great for homeschooling.

I tried babysitting. First experience was great. He was an unusually well behaved child. Second reminded me of raising my own kids as toddlers. I didn't want to do that again. So, I gave my notice and focused on my sewing business.

I work through oDesk.com. I do SEO for websites, but there are a lot of other jobs on there, including writing, customer service, administrative assistants, etc...the only bad thing was that when I started, I listed myself at $1/hour, only because I didn't have any feedback or a profile. But I love it! And, I'm well above my starting rate now. ;-)

It is not specific, but do something along the lines of what you love to do. Business is hard work and you have to be self-motivated. If you love doing something it is much easier to build up your business than if you are picking something to just bring in a little money.

Some things require money to start up. The more money you have the quicker you can typically get things going, but don't let the lack of money stop you. When I started my online business related to baby products years ago I had no money. I sold some items I had around the house and got started with a tax permit and $75 in product. I taught myself how to build a basic website that was very low cost per month. It looked it too, lol. I upgraded as soon as I was able. I used PayPal because I wasn't equipped to have a merchant account. I labored long and hard for very little return at first. The business grew and grew until it overtook my life, lol. Now it belongs to someone else and I do a little work for them each week.

So in short, look at what you are passionate about in life. What do you love to do in your spare time? Brainstorm ideas related to that passion.

Hmm, well in my free time, i like to surf the internet for homeschool forums and curriculum and watch videos on netflix and youtube at the same time. Lol. Thats my favorite thing to do and its one of the things that keeps me from doing stuff i need to do. Don't think i could even begin to make a career out of that.

Hey you could try amazons mechanical turks. https://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome

I was not real thrilled with being a "turk" and the jobs are a bit of torture. I wasn't even going to mention it but I did make a few $100 once from it. Some of the jobs are dumb or pay like a penny. And some are just plain scams and amazon is of no help. So that's the warning. lol

If you're really good and really fast at legit internet research, you could do ChaCha. *shrugs* Check your emails from me, too. I've sent some start-up info for Barefoot.

Well, you do seem to have a common topic - homeschooling. Brainstorm that topic :)

It may be an error that you even tried...the work is terrible. LOL.

Just do a google search for amazon mechanical turks. If that doesn't work...leave your husband and take the single mom blogger position I told you about. LOL...Just kiddin'.

ChaCha is like Ask.com. You are basically a search engine. Someone asks a question and you find the answer. You get paid like a peanut per answer.
