Well First I would like to welcome you Nancy to the hs spot. Do you hs your children.

Well what I do with left over pork alot is make stove top stuffing and mix it together put some gravy on top and have it on rice, potatoes or bread. My dd's love it.

another one I do is fry potatoes, onions, pepper, mushrooms, (almost whatever you have leftover.) when the potatoes and stuff are done. I had the pork hit it through and serve it.

Hi Kris from TX, I am in O-hio. I hs my daughter, this is our first year. Am with an e program, but I will get out of it a.s.a.p. I found out how well people do by themselves. I am happy to find new sites like this one. We were alone for quite awhile - just with the provided curriculam. Now we have some friends. Bye for now. Nancy

Hi, Nancy! what part of Ohio are you from? I'm from Cental Ohio. It's a pretty good state for homeschooling!

You might also consider shredding the pork and warming it up with BBQ sauce.

Hi Nancy, Welcome! I'm not from Ohio, nor am I a neighbor, but I do homeschool, so we have SOMEthing in common!

We had a crazy day, so our schedule was thrown off, so we're having a whatever night for supper. We call it whatever night, or scrounge night. People will be hungry at different times, so it's not worth fixing a whole big meal!

The potato soup and cornbread came out well! We missed you Kris, I thought you were gonna show up here for supper! :)

My dh is a cheeseburger fanatic. He would have them every day of the week if I would make them for him. We had cheeseburgers, fries, applesauce and mac & cheese. Everyone in my family is a picky eater except me, I eat anything:) We have boring meals. Dh doesn't even like pizza, but the rest does.

Deena, we routinely have what we like to call Fend For Yourself Night. It is the same thing but my dd hates it because she has to fix her own supper. So on nights when we have had a hectic day she says "I suppose we are having a FFY night...LOL

Thanks ABall for all the recipes! I think we'll try out the Crock Pot Bean Soup with Cornmeal Dumplings on Friday. I already told ds we'd have breakfast for dinner tomorrow night. I'm always happy to find a yummy looking vegetarian crock pot recipe! (We're not vegetarians, it's just cheaper than meat!) I think I'll buy what I need to make the creamy vegetable soup next week.

Wed. night suppers have to be super fast and easy for us. We have to eat by 5:15 to get out of the house and to church on time. Tonight we made mini pizzas on tortillas.

Kris, Wednesday is our breakfast night too! Almost every week that is what we do. Wednesday is also busy for us. My family loves breakfast. I am not such a big fan but they love it. I tend to like the things that are fatting for breakfast like pancakes with butter and french toast...all the carb stuff. lol

oh Jackie that sounds good. to wet and windy to be outside today.

think I will make some slop (that's what I call it) it's where you fry potatoes in butter or olive oil and then you had mushrooms, onions, and peppers, put any kind of meat you want think I will do leftover ham. Fry till potatoes are done. Top with cheese and melt. Oh I always season mine with garlic pepper and salt.
