Pam, that is exactly what my ma in law did with my dh. If he wanted pizza or cereal for supper it was what they had. He was not encouraged to eat any veggies. His mom was divorced and worked all the time so she didn't have much time to prepare meals.
I think I could become a vegetarian too. I do not care for much meat. I think I would miss seafood the most though.
Are there any yummy dessert recipes out there? That's the best part!

Oh, Pam! When we were first married, I cooked something and the boys complained, "WHY DO WE HAVE TO EAT THIS!!!" My answer:"Becaue I'm NOT your grandma!!!" That lady would make three or four different meals all at once, based on who liked what! At the time, I worked full time and I sure didn't have the time to do that. And even now, I'm not about to start it!

Tonight it's baked potatoes and salad.

My mom would tell us, "I am not running a restaurant." She would ask us what we wanted for dinner when she went shopping. Having five children, it was hard to please everbody but we learned that if we didn't eat what she made, then we didn't eat.:D

My mil also fed my dh and his brothers anythng they wanted. Of course, I can't change that. I remember 1 time we went over to my mil's house for a birthday dinner and she made baked chicken, baked potatoes and corn and green beans - everyone of the boys complained about the meal - they were used to a beef roast, mashed potatoes and then the veggies. I knew she was making the chicken, so I made beef tips and noodles and took them along. My husband said I saved the day. Can you imagine grown men acting that way??? I too was a short order cook - My husband is so picky and I didn't want to eat all the fried things that he eats, so I would make a stir fry or casserole for myself and then my dgs will eat either what we eat or he might want something different, I just can't stand all the whining that goes with it. Then when the boys came... that's another story, they didn't like anything except sweets - there mother let them eat anything they wanted. I put my foot down - now we have one meal and everyone eats the same thing or nothing. Why is eating such an expensive chore???? :)
