Oh Ladies I have to tell about the cookies we made this afternoon, they turned out so good.
My oldest dd loves mint of any kind and wanted mint cookies. So, we got those Hershey's stick (mint milk choc.) and cut them up in pieces and put them in the batter of Choc. Chip cookies and made them. Boy, oh oh Boy are they good.

I love butterscotch oatmeal, too! I've been tempted to try my raspberry chips in a cookie but I'm afraid to waste them. I know the fudge turned out delicious with them. Another cookie I love but can't find the recipe is Chocolate Drop Cookies. I looked in my Betty Crocker book and didn't find them.

I LOVE cookies! However, I am not a fan of anything mint. Cookies are my thing! I made some cinnamon spice cookies and they were divine! I have a few recipe books devoted solely to cookies. YUM. I have been wanting to make oatmeal for some time. Have any of you tried those Aggression cookies? Great to keep kids busy. I think you just need oatmeal, butter, brown sugar....oh...Amy...help me out... Anyway, I just did this a month ago and now I can't think of it. Keep my one year old busy while I made cookies.

One of my favorite memories is decorating the sugar cookies (and dropping those little silver balls all over the floor)!

has anyone every had a cookie swap? We have one every year and my girls love it!

I love those little silver balls! I have seen those in years. I need to get some. I love luster dust also. Great for snowflakes.

I have always wanted to do a cookie swap. Every year we think of doing one at my church and then it never gets done. Oh well.

Welcome Betty! I am not sure if you introduced yourself or not. I am very bad at checking out that board. By the time I get through the other posts it is time to do school again. lol.

Oh, YUM!!! Carl got me a cookie press last year as an early Christmas gift. I tried it, but had an AWFUL time! So I got it out the other day when the kids were in bed, just to experiment a bit. It worked better, I'm glad to say! Still not "there" yet, but..... Do any of you have experience with one?

Kris, Do you make the chewy sugar cookies or crisp ones? I have a great crisp sugar cookie recipe but can't find one for the old timey chewy type. Every one we try seems to taste like the flour. Beth

I want to find a Recipe for the soft one too Beth, I have been looking for it.

Jackie, I have the same trouble with my cookie press. Never could get it to work. Someone told me if you chill the dough over night it would work better not for me.

I read somewhere NOT to refridgerate the dough!!! So who knows? Also, I'm told you need to use a cold baking sheet. Someone else said to use parchment paper. I found the parchment paper didn't make much difference. Also, I when I put them DIRECTLY on my stoneware, they did much better. Trouble is, stoneware retains heat so I can only use it one time, or wait forever between batches.

A friend of mine used to use them and made beautiful cookies with them! She's one of those friends that you dearly love but..... Well, she's beautiful, outgoing, caring, intelligent, musical, and a bunch of other disgusting things!!! She's one of my best friends, but I gave up long ago trying to keep up with her! Also when we'd go shopping together, the guys that work in the store would follow her around and flirt with her, and totally ignore me! ;) Oh well.... My dh and my kids love me! :D Anyway, now they have moved to California, so I can't readily ask her how she got that thing working!
