I agree Patty, satan always takes the good things God makes and turns them into something cheap and ugly and bad! Some people fall into those things unwittingly. God does not look at the past though, He has forgiven us already for the wrong that we have done in the past. We just need to accept that forgiveness and move on. Being the sinner that I am, I could never hold a grudge against or feel superior towards anyone, and I don't. If God has already forgiven, who am I to judge them unfairly?! I just think we need to move on with the new information and light that we receive, and make decisions based on how you feel God is leading you now! If we had problems with dating and "sin" before we were married, and are convinced that what we did was not right, then we can just use that as a way to do better with our children! There's a song I've heard where the person said they were feeling bad about the things they had done, and kept confessing those things over and over to God. Finally they said to God, "God, PLEASE forgive my sin!!!" and God said, "What sin?!" Praise God that He has forgiven and forgotten, so we can too!
