No but the campsite are pretty pricey too. I knew the name for 5th wheels but we don't own one of them.
Not really, we just went in November for 2 weeks and spent $45 per night. That is downright cheap for Disney standards. Actually, there are not too many hotels you can stay at for that anymore. I understand that most people don't have an RV, but if you like to camp, there are sites even cheaper for tents. Kris, if you tow a car, you can have Hitch Itch too.
Wow, 45 is high guess I am cheap. I usually only pay 25 a night. But, then again this is Disney and a fun place to be. It's still cheaper then the motels. YES it is.
I don't suppose me and my chevy can have Hitch Itch, can we? lol. I have some type of travel itch, I can tell ya that. I grew up traveling all the time, as my mom had a travel business for some time. I miss traveling. I haven't been on vacation in years.
I totally agree with you, Ava Rose. Nothing like a good road trip to clear my head. Even though it is a LONG trip, I LOVE it when my daughter and I have the chance to take off on a two-day trip to visit family back home in TN. We turn up the music, let down our hair and have a good time just enjoying the freedom and each other's company.
Welcome back, Kris! Thanks for reassuring us of your OKness! With electricity being off in Western KS, we've had some memorable experiences, & so I've been mostly gone from here during the past week, also. After two days "in the dark," our electricy was returned, so I quickly checked the Home School Spot, & you weren't back yet. I chatted a little bit with others, & then our server let us down again; so this evening is the first chance I've had to check on you again in a while. I will soon go read the Disney thread & try to catch up a little bit before I drop (after quite a day), but while this thread is still alive, I'll compare myself to some friends of mine who can't seem to speak without swearing. For me, like others said, my faith is such a part of my life that I can't talk about many things without an aspect of it entering in. Sometimes I'm so afraid of offending someone that I think I'd better just totally stay on the "Christian Issues" thread! But then I notice others being open about what they believe or don't believe or think is great or think is crazy, & I always enjoy hearing things from their perspectives & often learn things, and so I gain the hope that they might enjoy hearing how I see things, too--even if it might be radically different. I will admit your absence had me worried. If my opinions wreck other people's enjoyment of this forum, it would wreck mine, too. I think we can just "be who we are" and love each other anyway. Once again, 'good to hear from you!
You're not cheap, you just watch your money and live on budget like everyone else. Trust me this is the absolute cheapest place to stay on Disney property. $25 is pretty good for any other campground. Although we have paid this ($45) for 2 other campgrounds that were non-Disney, they were just in touristy areas.
We went to a conference at 6 Flags in New York once. Carl was working a vendor's booth with his brother., I thought maybe the company could put us all lup at a campground, instead of paying for Carl to stay at a hotel. Well, they did, but I was shocked at the cost!!! It was there at the 6 Flags grounds (where the conference was being held), and included unlimited admittance to 6 Flags. The cost was almost $100 a night!!!
That's really expensive for a campground. I guarantee the price of the tix was in there. Plus, it always costs more to stay near any kind of attraction.
VERY expensive! I was surprised the company was willing to pay! But we had a great time. Phillip was only about 18 months old. The place messed up and didn't have a "real" site for us, so they told us where to put our camper. Then a youth group turned up, and we were right in the MIDDLE of them!!! The gal in charge of the kids were worried that they would disturb Phillip. I reassured her that it was totally unreasonable to expect her kids to be silent after 9:00, and not to worry about it. Well, they were a super bunch of kids!!! Carl spent most of his time in the Vendor's Booth, so I was pretty much "alone" with three young chldren. The bathroom was nowhere near, and when a 5YO has to go, she means NOW!!! So their pastor would keep an eye on my cooking fire for me while I ran my kids up to the bathroom, or would invite Rachael to their campfire when the other two were in bed, etc. VERY nice group!!!
