Social workers prey on those who aren't knowledgeable about the inner workings of the system and their own personal rights. They also like to use scare tactics and intimidation. Pam posted some very excellent advise! How are you doing today?
We have a copy of Klicka's guidlines in our file box, along with all our homeschool stuff. I would REALLY suggest that EVERYONE who homeschools copy it and have it where they can find it at a moment's notice. Of course, we cannot know EVERYTHING on it, but if someone comes, we can get to it immediately and respond. Praying for you and the family!!!
Yep, I've got it in mine too with HSLDA's phone # written on the top in LARGE print so I can call and hand the phone out the door! Hang in there....we're all praying very hard for you!!

That is crazy!!! I'll be praying for you and your family. Like Jackie said, I have met you and you are so good with your children. I was talking with Amy and she said the same thing. You love your children and they love you!!! As for your house, have everyone pitch in and help you get things straightened up. If nothing else, go get some boxes and start putting things in boxes and marking them so you know where things are at. Pile the boxes in a neat order. That way you can get things off the floor and into boxes.
I am sorry to hear you are going thorugh this. A similiar incident happened to my older sister Diane and her children when someone called CPS and said things that were untrue about her and the children. Praying for you and your family
Probably. I was considering pasting them, but you did it first. If you're really concerned about it being a copyright issue (especially dealing with lawyers, lol!!!) you could edit it. Delete what you copied, and post the link instead. But personally, I don't think it's a big deal, especially since you credited HSLDA and Chris Klicka with it.

I agree with what has been shared. I am also praying for your families protection. Isn't it a shame that some people call CPS without warrent and cause so much destruction? Why do they not believe that calling CPS is a big deal? Do they even think things through! Yikes! Now CPS is spending valuable time on your family instead of actually saving a child from a REAL abusive situation.
Ditto! I think that those who call CPS who are out for revenge don't even consider the devastation the kids will endure for their hateful act.
In addition to stopping the spanking, I'd quit letting the little one walk down the street alone and the co-bathing. When I was investigated- one of the three times-my son was heard to use the 'c' word slang for vagina. Well, I was asked if he ever saw me and my then fiancee-now my husband of 12 years-engage in intercourse. I thought to myself 'Ride the stupid bus one afternoon, Skippy, and you'll see where he got that word.' That word doesn't even get spoken here, and luckily they believed me. Try hard - and I've been there, remember-to use this as a way to do things differently, so nothing can be used against you again. I quit spanking after ds was led to tell them I beat him. What he said was 'my mom beat my butt.', which was true- I'd spank his round behind. Now I use spanking only if Jeannie's behavior was dangerous. I'm a different mother now, although I wish someone other than social services had brought about the changes. It took many, many years for me to relax around my own kid.
Just to get some peoples blood boiling. My cousins daughter is 8yo and there are 3 younger sisters. They have been a cps case for over 4 years. They have to go and get regular meetings with the case worker etc. Just a month ago the 8 yo told her mom that her dad had been molesting her for the past 2 years. There are physican signs of abuse, and the man admitted to it. 2 years while they were being "overseen" by cps!!!! Yet here a good family is being harrassed because the house is a wreck while moving? I think there is a huge flaw in the system.
Agreeing with them also. Also don't let them in without a warrant, period. btw How soon are you moving? I would prob not tell them you are moving...unless you already had. I would hate for them to want to know where and then have someone waiting for you at the new place. But, then again...ugh...so frustrating! I would totally obsess about WHO said that about me! Was it a 'fake friend' or neighbor who claims to 'love everyting about you'. UGH...
Ditto! It's normally the person who acts fake toward you. Stabs you in the back and is nice to your face.:twisted:
